From the classroom to the coastline, Ulrich is a man on a mission. After two unforgettable years teaching in a school in Vietnam, he traded the chalkboard for the open ocean. Travel is a total family affair for Ulrich, with an epic South East Asian trek with his dad and two brothers (who are also yachties) that inspired him to follow in their footsteps and become a seafarer.
A proud Stellenbosch native, Ulrich has South African sunshine in his soul. When he isn't busy working toward becoming an Officer of the Watch, you'll find him staying active, socialising with the crew or scouting the local area for the best hidden food spots.

Ed was brought up on the water, racing dinghies and small yachts. As a teenager, he worked part- time on the River Thames in his hometown of Windsor. After two years as a deckhand aboard passenger boats, he obtained his Class 2 In land Master’s License and went on to captain some of the largest passenger vessels operating on the Thames. He then pursued a university degree in Marine Management to pave the way for a natural professional career on the water.
Ed has spent over 15 years cruising the world on superyachts and is well placed to provide you with a fantastic onboard experience. When not at work, he enjoys keeping fit as an avid long-distance runner and keen cyclist. Downtime is spent with his family in the UK, where he can be found restoring classic British cars, wooden sailing dinghies, and, more recently, customising motorbikes.
