Born on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, Scotland. Jamie has 13 years qualified experience working on drill rigs and oil tankers to working on superyachts for the past 8 years. Jamie's hobbies consist of golf, mountain biking and hiking in the Scottish highlands. Before joining the merchant navy, Jamie also played the bagpipes and competed in competitions in a pipe band all over Scotland

Erin grew up in sunny South Africa. She has a passion for travelling and exploring new cultures. When she’s at home, she love staying active by playing touch rugby alongside other various sports. She is a qualified masseuse, and has specialised in sports massage which she has practiced for 5 years. She is excited to bring this aspect of her life to the yachting industry.

Jack has been honing his culinary talents for over thirteen years, and has finetuned his flair for cooking in an array of professional kitchens around the world. Jack’s skills have enabled him to work in many Michelin Starred establishments, notably The Ledbury in London. Travelling overseas Jack has graced kitchens from the mountainous landscapes of New Zealand and Australia to remote islands in Saudi Arabia Orientated primarily around modern European cuisine, Jack is introducing more Asian flavours to his creations; particularly Japanese. Baking fresh breads and experimenting with vibrant ice cream flavours are his favourite past-times if he has a moment to spare. Outside of the galley he is a keen skier and snowboarder. Jack also enjoys wakeboarding and diving, recently gaining his PADI advanced.

James originates from Abersoch on the West coast of North Wales and has been involved in yachting on multiple levels since his early teens. Initially James was involved in inshore and offshore racing of keel boats around the British Isles, with regular entries in Fastnet races, Commodores Cup Welsh International team: all the main UK inshore regattas. In tandem with this James worked at a yacht building yard around the race circuit calendar, specialising in composite repairs and ultra-lightweight sailing boat construction.

From here James went ‘’full immersion’’ into yacht design, completing a degree in Yacht Design and Construction at Falmouth Marine College. His particular interest was model tank testing, fluid dynamics and ultra-light weight sailing yacht construction.

James began his professional yacht crewing career on sailing boats in 1996, moving on to motor yachts in 2002 where he has gained extensive knowledge of the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Bahamas, Eastern Seaboard, Norway, Pacific Coast and more.

James’ passion is simple: it’s the sea. In his spare time he puts his board on the car roof and seeks out a wave to surf, or you might find him downwind paddle boarding on a race board. James grew up in Auckland, New Zealand. After completing his studies, he moved abroad which led him to discover yachting in 2001. James has worked extensively on yachts and has been fortunate enough to see the likes of Northern Europe, Alaska, USA both West and East coasts, South Pacific, South East Asia, the Caribbean and Mediterranean. James decided to apply his knowledge and completed his Master tickets back in 2011. Over the years he has been fortunate to work on busy, professional, well-travelled charter and private yachts. In his spare time he enjoys fitness, a round of golf, wakeboarding and loves both surfing and snowboarding. James is easy-going and of a very friendly nature and he looks forward to making your time aboard a truly memorable experience.

Born in Surrey, England, Max brings over 11 years of yachting experience across the Mediterranean, the East Coast of the USA, and the Caribbean. His time at sea has given him extensive knowledge of diverse cruising grounds, along with a strong passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences.

Outside of yachting, Max has a keen interest in travelling and discovering new destinations. He is also passionate about property, enjoys staying active through running, and is a dedicated football enthusiast. With his professional experience, energetic personality, and love of adventure, Max is a valuable asset to any yacht and its crew.

Samuel brings over 11 years of maritime experience to M/Y Galene, beginning his career aboard RCCL cruise ships where he completed global passages and developed a strong foundation in seamanship, guest service, and operational safety. This background instilled a deep awareness of large-vessel safety protocols, which Sam now brings into the yachting environment—contributing to a culture of safety, structure, and professionalism on board. Over the past 7 years in the yachting industry, Sam has worked on more than ten prestigious private and charter yachts, consistently delivering high standards of service and demonstrating adaptability across a range of roles and vessel operations.
Outside of their maritime career, Sam is a keen Muay Thai and kickboxing competitor, having fought in over 7 bouts since a young age. He is also very passionate about adventure and giving back, having raised over £15,000 for charity through back-to-back high-altitude treks to Everest BC and Mount Kilimanjaro.
A committed team player and lifelong Liverpool FC supporter, Sam] brings energy, discipline, and a strong safety-first mindset to every aspect of life on board.

Sailing was a big part of Jon’s life from a very young age when he began racing dinghies in national competitions. Once he completed his schooling, which he centred around design engineering, he spent some time at home helping to run the family business. After completing his Yachtmaster licence he joined his first superyacht as a deckhand/engineer. In the last 12 years he has progressed to Chief Engineer and has now completed all of his Engineering Qualifications .Jon has two children, Ethan and new arrival-Grace, with his partner Tanya, with whom he has also built a property business in Bournemouth. Jon is a keen snowboarder and enjoys getting out on the water whenever time permits. Jon ensures GALENE runs smoothly so guests get the maximum enjoyment.

Calum grew up on the west coast of Scotland, where he has lived all of
his life. Calum served 3 years in the British army in the Royal core of
Signals. He has 4 children aged between 21 and 12.

When not at work Calum likes to spend his time with his family, walking
the highlands around the Lochs and renovating his properties. He has
recently qualified as a marine engineer and was previously working for
an offshore services company around the uk coastal waters.
