James grew up in Auckland, New Zealand. After completing his studies, he moved abroad which led him to discover yachting in 2001. James has worked extensively on yachts and has been fortunate enough to see the likes of Northern Europe, Alaska, USA both West and East coasts, South Pacific, South East Asia, the Caribbean and Mediterranean. James decided to apply his knowledge and completed his Master tickets back in 2011. Over the years he has been fortunate to work on busy, professional, well-travelled charter and private yachts. In his spare time, he enjoys fitness, a round of golf, wakeboarding and loves both surfing and snowboarding. James is easy-going and has a very friendly nature. He looks forward to making your time aboard a truly memorable experience.
Devon born British chef, starting aged 16 from culinary school to working in the kitchens of Heston Blumenthal, Raymond Blanc and working extensively with Jamie Oliver, he earned his Michelin Star as head chef at Smokehouse Chiswick. Nick then worked privately in Chamonix and as head chef at Pastis Hotel St Tropez. Inspired by the yachts of St Tropez, he transitioned to yachting 5 years ago. Nick enjoys snowboarding, DJing, playing guitar and experimenting with innovative cooking techniques.
Kelly grew up in Gurnee, Illinois, a suburb to the city of Chicago. She attended the University of Missouri where she graduated with a degree in Journalism. Shortly after college she moved to the Cayman Islands, working in hospitality. While there she was introduced to the yachting industry, immediately joining and hasn’t looked back. Kelly has fallen in love with ocean, enjoying scuba diving and snorkeling in her free time. She also enjoys creative hobbies such as photography and video editing. Kelly’s passion for travel has brought her to the Bahamas, Caribbean, and the North East of The United States.

Born and raised in Costa Rica, Fabrizio grew up surrounded by the warm waters of the Pacific, where his passion for the ocean began early through surfing and diving. Speaking Spanish, English and Italian from a young age, he always felt at home connecting with people from different backgrounds. Before joining the yachting industry, Fabrizio worked in a music studio, mastering tracks and playing guitar, until the draw of the ocean became too strong to ignore. With a background as a PADI Divemaster, he brings a calm, safety focused approach to all watersports and guest activities, taking pride in creating memorable moments on the water. Now as a member of the deck team onboard Galene, Fabrizio combines his love for the ocean with a genuine desire to give guests an unforgettable experience.

Harry, a 21 year old deckhand from the UK who brings an energetic and adventurous spirit to the crew. When he’s not keeping the decks spotless and assisting with watersports, you’ll find him out on the water kite surfing or cheering on his favourite football and rugby teams. Friendly, enthusiastic and always keen for the next challenge, he loves helping guests make the most of their time onboard.

Captain Stef’s love for the ocean started early in St. Maarten, where his family ran a scuba shop and marina—so the sea was basically home from day one. After a short detour inland to Ontario to study Economics and Finance, he quickly realized waves beat spreadsheets. Over the past 13 years, he’s cruised the Great Lakes, North Sea, Baltic, U.S. East Coast, Bahamas, Caribbean, and Mediterranean. Off watch, you’ll find him scuba diving, kitesurfing, surfing, hiking, road-tripping, or hunting down the perfect wine-and-cheese pairing.
Fun fact: Captain Stef can be easily bribed with chocolate, cheese, or good wine

Born in Surrey, England, Max brings over 11 years of yachting experience across the Mediterranean, the East Coast of the USA, and the Caribbean. His time at sea has given him extensive knowledge of diverse cruising grounds, along with a strong passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences. Outside of yachting, Max has a keen interest in travelling and discovering new destinations. He is also passionate about property, enjoys staying active through running, and is a dedicated football enthusiast. With his professional experience, energetic personality, and love of adventure, Max is a valuable asset to any yacht and its crew.

Lenny is your rotational Chief Officer onboard, bringing steady leadership, a hands-on approach, and a strong focus on safety to every aspect of deck operations. Known for his calm and approachable demeanor, he keeps the team running smoothly and efficiently, whether during daily routines or busy charters. Lenny’s professionalism and positive attitude create a welcoming environment for both guests and crew. Lenny grew up In the small town of Laholm In Sweden’s southwest coast, where he developed a deep connection to the sea and nature. Raised alongside two younger brothers, he spent much of his youth exploring the salmon-rich rivers and coastline near home. After completing high school with a focus on construction, Lenny’s passion for working with his hands and problem solving naturally extended to a career at sea. His years living and studying In Australia added valuable International experience and broadened his perspective. Lenny’s adventurous spirit and dedication to teamwork shine through both on and off the yacht, ensuring every voyage Is safe, smooth and enjoyable for all onboard.

Originally from South Africa and now American, Ryan brings an easygoing, confident energy to the deck team. With years of cruising under his belt, from the Pacific to the Mediterranean, Bahamas and Central America, he is always up for the next adventure. Most recently, he spent three years living in Colorado, where he managed a hotel in the mountains. A qualified Chief Mate 3000GT, Master 200GT and PADI Dive Instructor, Ryan is happiest on tender adventures, scuba diving, watersports, or exploring hidden bays. Whether he is behind the helm, setting up the toys, or sharing a laugh with guests on deck, Ryan stays calm, cool and collected while making every day onboard Galene feel relaxed and fun.

Jock grew up on a property outside of the country town of Mudgee in regional New South Wales, Australia. With his brother he would spend his afternoons working on the farm, motorbike riding and fishing. Over the years Jock has travelled to multiple beaches in Australia where his love for the water grew, whether it was surfing, body bashing or diving he has always had a great affection for the coastline. If he isn’t working you’d likely find him outdoors on a golf course working on his handicap, down at Bondi enjoying the surf or trying to find fresh snow on back country ski runs.
