George is a highly experienced and technically accomplished Chief Engineer aboard M/Y GECO, holding a Chief Engineer III/2 Certificate of Competency and bringing extensive sea service across commercial vessels, ferries, and large yachts. A graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy, he combines deep engineering knowledge with a structured, safety-driven approach to vessel operations.
His career includes senior engineering roles on cargo ships, fast ferries, and yachts, where he has been fully responsible for engine room management, planned maintenance systems, troubleshooting, and compliance with international safety and environmental regulations. George has hands-on experience with ballast water treatment systems, scrubber operations, fuel management, HVAC and refrigeration systems, and engine room resource management.
