Meletis holds all the necessary marine certificates including a seaman’s license and advanced lifesaving and firefighting. He began his career at sea in 2018 working onboard passenger vessels and ferry boats throughout Greece. His skills and hard work along with his pleasant character make him a unique member of the crew on s/y Gitana.

Vassilis has graduated from the Polytechnic School and has obtained his diplomas in Engineering. Further to this, he has all necessary Safety and Fire Fighting Certificates. Vassilis commenced his career in 1987 as an Electrician for Marelco A.E. However in 1989 he brought his knowledge to the sea as Engineer on board luxury motor yachts, and since 2008 he has been on board s/y “Gitana”.

Vassilis Bithizis
Chief engineer
George graduated from the Alpine Center in Switzerland in 1998 when he successfully gained his Certificate in Culinary Art. He also holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from Le Monde. He has worked in many renowned restaurants and hotel restaurants in Greece and Cyprus and has become an expert in Mediterranean Cuisine and fish cookery. In addition, he has gained experience as a hotel and restaurant consultant. George has a very social and friendly personality and is able to adjust his impeccable dishes to the preferences of the guests. Given that this is the first time that George develops his immaculate culinary skills on board a luxury yacht, guests will have a memorable and exclusive dining experience.

Anthi holds a journalism degree and is an undergraduate in tourism management. She owned a bar-restaurant for more than a decade and in 2017 she decided to follow a new career path and joined yachting after completing the STCW basic training courses. She now holds certificates in food safety and hygiene, medical care and security on board. Her experience and skills make her the ideal person to ensure that the yacht is in immaculate condition at all times. She is a very caring, dedicated and loyal member of the crew who will ensure that every guests’ needs are met during their stay on the yacht.

Dimitris holds a Captain Class A’ Diploma from the Merchant Marine Academy and STCW certifications. He commenced a career at sea in 1999 and has served on yachts and tankers since then. Dimitris is a trustworthy, loyal and skilled professional who was at the helm of yachts of the same owner for almost fifteen years. Throughout his career, he has discovered unique bays and moorings that will amaze our guests. He is kind, friendly and has a great sense of humor.
