George is from Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland, where his love of the water started early. He began dinghy sailing at the age of seven and spent his teenage years racing and cruising yachts up to 50ft, while also working as a dinghy instructor during the summer holidays. Before moving fully into yachting, he built up practical hands-on experience through boat maintenance work, and assisting with engine servicing. In 2024, after joining S/Y ADELE (55m) and gaining valuable experience on board, he went on to complete an intensive sailing programme in Gibraltar and has continued to build strong mileage and knowledge ever since. Since then, George has developed a well-rounded sailing background across larger sailing yachts, deliveries, and progressing to the First Mate role on S/Y NO TIMING (24m). He went on to gain further charter experience on S/Y VERTIGO
(68m), where he was part of a successful and busy charter season in the Caribbean. Friendly, motivated, and naturally a team player George brings a practical attitude, a strong work ethic, and genuine enthusiasm for life at sea.
