Boris worked as a Captain on a Croatian Police Cutter Yacht for 20 years. Boris moved into the private yacht sector in 2004 and has captained a number of charter yachts of differing sizes based in Croatia and the Mediterranean. The latter include the Superyacht 66° ABOVE, which he captained from 2011, followed by HAPPY ME, where he continues to be employed as Captain by the same owner. Captain Boris is a 500GT STCW II/3 qualified captain and has vast experience at sea. Boris is also a keen free diver and fisherman. He is dedicated, enthusiastic with a friendly outgoing personality with excellent people and communication skills. Boris will ensure your stay onboard HAPPY ME will be an unforgettable experience.

Croatian Nikica worked in the luxury hospitality industry for 6 years before moving onto luxury yachts. She brings her 5-star hotel experience on-board. She joined her first yacht RUSH (Sunseeker 75) in 2010 as a Chef/Stewardess before joining TUGARKA (Ferretti 87) and 66° ABOVE in 2012. Nikica holds a Master’s in Management and Communications and is the go to person onboard for "mission impossible" requests, including sourcing best tables at restaurants, buying rare wines and much more. Nikica is also a licenced bookkeeper and holds a yacht
licence up to 50 GRT. Nikica strength lies in her ability to relate to a wide variety of people, and to understand and adapt to their every requirement. Her outgoing, friendly and positive personality is displayed in any situation and her exceptional interpersonal skills make others feel comfortable and relaxed in her presence. Nikica works well in high pressure situations, where her personality and ability shine through.

Ivan’s passion for the sea and boats meant that after studying Engineering at a Nautical High School, he went on to work on several large cruise ships, such as the M/S Allure of the Seas (362m) around the Caribbean. There he has gained a lot of experience in the safe operation of both the ships, the tenders, and toys. To extend this knowledge he is currently completing a Bachelor of Marine Engineering. Ivan very much enjoys working on HAPPY ME where, as a Motor yacht, it allows him to not only be involved in maintaining the equipment, but also to assist the guests in safely enjoying them. Ivan is a positive team player and looks forward to welcoming you on board.

Ivana completed 4 years of Hospitality School before entering the tourism and hospitality industry in 2012, where she continued to develop her customer service skills. In 2021, she started working in the yacht industry and has since worked on both the S/Y AURUM (44.5m) and the M/Y CASSIOPEIA (34m) As well as being very organised and having a good work ethic, she is creative and able to turn her hand to any task. She is a qualified relaxation masseur and interested in promoting your overall wellbeing whilst on board. Her passion for providing a high standard of service led her to the position of Stewardess aboard HAPPY ME.

Ivan is our personable and hardworking deckhand. After graduating from high school, he gained valuable experience working in carpentry as well as with the ambulance service. In 2022, Ivan decided to combine his practical skills with his passion for the sea, seizing the opportunity to work as a junior deckhand on a 40m motor sailor. Since then, he has continued to develop his skills and experience, working on two additional yachts before joining the HAPPY ME team. With his open and positive approach to life, Ivan is a great asset to the crew and willing to lend a hand wherever needed.

Marko is an experienced and ambitious chef with a strong interest in creating imaginative and interesting Mediterranean cuisine. Prior to working on luxury yachts Marko trained and worked in top restaurants in both Bosnia and Croatia, during this time he worked with award winning chefs including training with two Michelin star chefs. It is his goal to deliver amazing, creative delicious cuisine, with best-in-class service to guests.

This is Luka’s fifth year with the HAPPY ME team and he is passionate about a career in the yachting industry, travelling and developing his skills as much as possible. Luka is a trained physiotherapist and assists on board with massage therapy. His interests include travel, watersports, hiking, keeping fit and sailing.
