James, a native of New Zealand, was raised in a family deeply rooted in the art of winemaking. His upbringing in the wine industry has cultivated within him a keen eye for detail and a steadfast commitment to delivering unparalleled quality.
Prior to joining HEAVENLY DAZE, James honed his skills aboard various modern vessels, serving first as an engineer and later as a deck officer. He eagerly anticipates the opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and operation of HEAVENLY DAZE, viewing her as the epitome of a "proper yacht."
With a proud family legacy in the British navy, including a chief petty officer who served on the royal yacht, James's affinity for yachting runs deep within his veins. During his leisure hours, James finds solace in exploring the picturesque trails of Mallorca through hiking, indulging his passion for motorcycling, and delving into the rich tapestry of history.

Born in the quaint town of Pietersberg in the northern province of South Africa, Michael spent his formative years in Haenertsburg, nestled in the foothills of the majestic Drakensberg mountain range. Most of his leisure time was dedicated to exploring the outdoors, whether it was hiking, fishing, sailing on the picturesque lake of Ebenezerdam, or indulging in the thrill of riding motorcycles.
Following his schooling, Michael embarked on an apprenticeship journey, delving into the realms of welding, machining, and fabrication. However, after dedicating nine years to this trade, he realized the need for a change. Thus, I embarked on a spontaneous adventure, hopping on his bike to explore the world. 18 months and 45000km later he returned home, after circumnavigating East Africa, from South Africa to Egypt and back again.
Setting my sights on Mallorca, Michael sought to join a boat crew as an engineer, eager to apply his skills in a new environment. Fast forward five years, and Michael now proudly serve as the Chief Engineer aboard a classic Feadship, relishing every moment of this fulfilling role.
Calling Mallorca his new home and a new found love for the sea, Michael spends his free time diving, playing golf, finding great new lamb restaurants or simply revelling in the exhilarating rides amidst the breathtaking Tramuntana mountains.
