With a passion for meeting new people and creating unforgettable guest experiences, I thrive on making each charter feel personal, relaxed, and fun. With over four decades of professional maritime experience — including more than 30 years in command — I bring deep-rooted knowledge, leadership, and passion to every voyage. My career began with the prestigious Azzurra syndicate in the 1987 America’s Cup in Perth and evolved through hands-on yacht construction, competitive sailing, and extensive command of both private and commercial yachts.
I studied at the renowned Nautical School of Viareggio and hold IMO certification for commercial and pleasure vessels ranging from 500 to 3000GT. My early involvement in high-profile sailing competitions like the America’s Cup (including with Moro di Venezia) laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to excellence on the water.
I spent three years contributing to the construction of the Maxi Yacht Extrabeat, followed by a long and successful period commanding a range of vessels. My charter experience includes 10 years with M.Y. Lavitalebela (Ferretti 780), ensuring premium guest experiences. I’ve also captained the M.Y. Tuasempre (AB 140), and the SD 112, which I sailed extensively between Seville and Apulia for seasonal operations.
Currently, I command M.Y. Jacki 8, where I’ve found a strong synergy with the crew and continue to take great pride in delivering unforgettable experiences to our guests. For me, yachting is not just a profession — it's a vocation centered around precision, safety, and the joy of creating exceptional moments at sea.

Simone is native of Genova, he have eight years experience in the nautical industry. After progressive study he climbed the ranks to Chief Engineer, continuing to study to improve his knowledge. He has sailed on of commercial vessels and yachts. Simone is a great team player and his goal is of running the engine room in the best way, to ensure the guests have a great experience on board. He love travelling, animals and nature.

My career began at 19 as a sailor and hostess, and during hotel school I began my maritime journey, both in sailing and motor boats. Crossing transatlantic trips and holidays made me discover a love for cuisine, certainly the Italian one is the strongest, and I also fell in love with the Thai one, maintaining the original flavours of fresh products, without covering the natural taste of the products. my main hobby is my job surrounded by the sea, swimming, diving, sailing and absolutely travelling!! making guests happy fills me with satisfaction. chef Barbara!
