Simone grew up working as a lifeguard and marina attendant on the Italian Riviera, near the Livorno and Viareggio yachting hubs of Tuscany.
After spending over a year as a Cadet in the Italian Navy, he transitioned into the superyacht industry in 2013, joining his first yacht in Hong Kong. Starting as a deckhand, he developed his yachting skills and English before returning to Europe to gain his initial superyacht qualifications.
Having worked on a variety of private and charter vessels across the Mediterranean and Caribbean—most notably as a Chase Boat Captain—Simone obtained his OOW ticket in November 2019 and his Chief Officer ticket in January 2020.
Now an acting Chief Officer, he is passionate about the sea and is committed to bringing all of his experience, professionalism, and enthusiasm to guests, while continuing to grow toward his long-term goal of becoming a Superyacht Captain.
