Lerijke grew up on a wine and fruit farm near Somerset West in South Africa. She loves sport and from a very young age she excelled in hockey, netball, tennis, athletics and swimming. At the age of 16 she qualified as a lifeguard and spent her summer holidays working on local beaches. She worked for a year as an office administrator at a global company and then decided to broaden her horizons by joining the yachting industry, where she sought to meet new people, see new places and experience different cultures. Lerijke enjoys being outside in nature and staying active. Back in South Africa she loves diving for crayfish with her dad and that is where her love for the ocean comes from.

Born and raised in Port Elizabeth in South Africa, it is no surprise that Matthew's career has drawn him to the ocean. Matthew studied Investment Management in Stellenbosch before realising he wanted a life where no two days were the same and that sitting behind a desk all day just wasn’t for him. He has a strong background in watersports and general sports, he grew up surfing and playing rugby from a young age. He is also an avid runner and is part of the KATHARINE early morning running club, but his recent hobby is currently learning to play golf. Matthew can always be found with a smile on his face and an eager hand ready to assist wherever necessary.

Poppy grew up on a dairy farm in the far north of the English countryside, so is no stranger to physical hard work and a love for the outdoors. Prior to yachting Poppy studied and has her Diploma in Fine Art, specifically painting and is exceptionally talented in her medium of oil painting. After completing her studies she had a drive pushing her to travel and explore the world, whilst working in hospitality as she ventured. She also spent time working with children teaching them English in Zambia, so is always welcoming and great to have around the young ones. Her travels and work led her to joining the yachting industry where she had been able to put her creative talent and personable hospitality skills to excellent use.

Martin comes from Varna in Bulgaria. In 2004 he graduated from the Bulgarian Naval Academy with a master's degree in Marine Engineering. He worked as an engineer on cargo vessels, working his way up to Chief Engineer in 2012. In 2018 he began his career in the yachting industry working on vessels including VICKY and SHAKE N BAKE. For the past five years he has worked as a Chief Engineer on various sized yachts and has been on board KATHARINE for two years. Martin is a family man with twin daughters and a son.

Paulo grew up in a small coastal town near Zadar, Croatia. After finishing naval school, he completed an internship on a large tanker ship and climbed the ranks to become an Officer. During his period working as an Officer, Paulo was operating steam boilers and turbines and was able to expand his knowledge and skills as an Engineer and transfer them across to the superyacht industry. In his spare time, Paulo enjoys cycling, travelling and being in nature.

Madison was raised in Durban, South Africa where her love for the ocean and outdoors first began. Straight after school she stepped into the yachting industry with the drive for travelling and discovering herself, but she quickly found a deeper passion for the work and keep improving her skills. Madison enjoys the variety of working in many different locations, loves to embrace adventure and is always keen to keep active. She is an avid reader and has a secret passion for karaoke!

Declan is a passionate seafarer with a drive to provide an exceptional yachting experience to everyone who steps on board. He grew up in Cape Town in South Africa and has spent countless hours exploring its harsh and wild coastline above and below the water. His passion for marine life and exploration comes from his father, who is a world renowned treasure diver. Declan joined the yachting world after studying finance for four years and has successfully progressed to Lead Deckhand. He is also a professionally trained diver. Declan loves getting to meet new guests and enjoys working as part as a close-knit crew!

Isabella was born and raised on the beautiful island of Phuket, Thailand and is half British/half Filipino. Growing up surrounded by the ocean and spending much of her time by the sea and on boats, it was only natural that she would pursue a career on the water. One of her proudest achievements to date has been crossing the Pacific Ocean, starting in Florida, USA and finishing in Bali, Indonesia. Prior to joining the industry, Isabella gained First Class Honours in BSc Psychology. Outside of work, Isabella is passionate about sports and living an active lifestyle. Whether she is wakeboarding, playing football or enjoying a game of tennis, she just loves being outdoors and staying active. She joined the industry in 2024 and is driven to continue growing her career while exploring the world along the way.

Lewis grew up on a farm in the Peak District in North England. He sailed from a young age racing small dinghies and even entered world championships in Barbados and Ireland. He joined the world of yachting in 2017, working on 40-50m yachts, travelling worldwide including Canada, the east coast of America, the Caribbean, Norway and the Mediterranean. His favourite place he's visited so far is St Kitts and Nevis. In his free time, Lewis is an animal lover and proactively works with animal shelters to rescue abandoned animals.

Radovan was raised by the sea in the bay of Kotor, Montenegro and has always had a passion for the ocean. Montenegro has a longstanding maritime history and Radovan attended Maritime school in Kotor and then worked in commercial shipping gaining a wide range of knowledge in all engineering departmental areas. He secured his first role within the superyacht industry in 2019 and has worked on a number of yachts ranging from 50m to 72m. Radovan grew up nestled in Montenegro’s vast nature landscapes, so it is no surprise that he enjoys spending time with his family in their forest countryside home, fishing on their small fishing boat.
