Mireila was born in Olot, Catalunya (Spain), near the mountains and the sea, she has always been drawn to nature.
With seven years of yachting experience, she began her career running charters in Ibiza before advancing to roles on private and charter yachts up to 30m, working as both a stewardess and deckhand.
Her background includes studies in economics, a career in luxury retail, and a passion for music, having trained in piano and voice.
Outside of yachting, she enjoys exploring nature, music, and the arts. She loves singing, playing piano, and dancing flamenco, as well as maintaining an active lifestyle through running, yoga, and diving.
Dedicated to making guests feel at home, she ensures every request is met with warmth, discretion, and attention to detail.

Born and raised in Catalonia, Gil developed a love for sailing from an early age, spending summers exploring the Balearic Islands aboard his family’s boat.
His passion for the sea led him to a career in yachting, where he has gained extensive experience cruising the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Pacific.
With a background as a sailing instructor and over five years in the superyacht industry, Gil holds a Yachtmaster Offshore certification and multiple maritime qualifications.
He is known for his calm demeanor, professionalism, and dedication to ensuring a safe and seamless experience on board.
An avid adventurer, he enjoys running, hiking, cycling, water sports, skiing, and yoga—always seeking new ways to connect with nature.
Gil brings a well-rounded skill set and a welcoming presence to every charter.

Dani grew up in a sailing family and has been on the water for as long as he can remember. Sailing is not just his profession—it is his true passion.
He started sailing in the Optimist class at the age of five and progressed through various sailing disciplines. His studies were always tied to the sea, earning qualifications as a skipper, naval mechanic, and professional diver. Dani has dedicated his entire career to the maritime world, beginning as a skipper of small boats in his family’s charter company. In 2004, he left the family business to take command of a 90’ ketch, embarking on a lifelong journey in the world of sailing yachts.
In his free time, Dani has completed several Atlantic crossings and actively sails and races on his Pogo2 Mini 6.50. He is also an avid cyclist, competing whenever possible. Beyond sailing and cycling, he is a certified NAVI Scuba Dive Instructor and Oxygen Therapy Instructor (DAN).
Dani has been entrusted with the command of S/Y Kiwayu (SW105), having previously captained S/Y Kiwayu (SW94) since 2018. His longstanding relationship with the same owner reflects his deep experience and expertise in superyacht operations. Known for his calm demeanor and strong leadership, he ensures an exceptional experience for both guests and crew.

DANI MUÑOZ
Captain
Joan is an ambitious and dedicated young deckhand who brings a deep-rooted passion for sailing to Kiwayu. Born and raised in Spain, Joan has been immersed in the nautical world from a young age, developing his skills through competitive regattas and formal technical training.
His early experience in dinghy sailing and cruising led him to prestigious events such as the Copa del Rey Classic and the Puig Regatta.
With qualifications as a Professional Skipper and Chief Engineer, he has hands-on experience in maintenance, sailing, and engineering across both private and charter vessels.
Eager to learn and grow, Joan is committed to pursuing a long and successful career in yachting, continually expanding his knowledge and skills to contribute to a seamless and enjoyable experience for charter guests.
Beyond sailing, he enjoys photography, vintage car mechanics, and water sports such as diving and paddleboarding.

Joan Gallart

With over a decade in yachting and fine dining, Chef Daniel combines Michelin-starred training with a deep passion for the sea. His culinary style is inspired by his global travels, blending fresh, locally sourced ingredients with creativity and refinement.
Whether preparing an elegant multi-course tasting menu or a relaxed beachside barbecue, he tailors each dish to guests’ preferences, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
Daniel’s expertise has earned him recognition at international food events, including the World Travel Market in London and the Berlin ITB Fair, as well as fourth place in the Young Chefs de Canarias Competition.
Beyond the galley, he is an avid sailor and sports enthusiast, passionate about regattas, kitesurfing, surfing, and rock climbing. A former chess club instructor, his strategic mindset and attention to detail shine in both his cooking and problem-solving skills.
His passion for hospitality, adventure, and continuous learning ensures an exceptional dining experience for Kiwayu guests.
