Classically trained in Germany, he has refined his craft in Michelin starred restaurants, five-star hotels, luxury villas, and prestigious catering companies before dedicating the past 15 years to yachting. Michael specialises in healthy, plant-based cuisine with Mediterranean, Italian, Middle Eastern, and Asian influences. He is highly experienced in catering to specialised dietary requirements including gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, low-carb, detox, vegetarian, and vegan menus – always delivering exceptional flavour, creativity, and presentation. In his spare time, Michael enjoys tending to his organic garden, snorkelling, cycling, and spending time in nature with his wife and dog – a lifestyle that reflects his passion for fresh, sustainable ingredients and balanced living.

With a background in fine dining service at one of Cape Town’s top restaurants and experience as an au pair in Paris, Kayla is confident working in high-pressure environments while maintaining a friendly, attentive approach. Having worked on a couple of vessels, and within Oyster Yachts’ guardianage programme, he is highly competent in tender driving, mooring operations, exterior maintenance, and guest support. A certified recreational yacht captain with full STCW, Advanced Firefighting, Survival Craft and GMDSS qualifications, Jan combines technical knowledge with calm, confident boat handling. Originally from Barcelona, he has grown up around the sea, bringing natural seamanship, positive energy, and a guest-focused attitude to every charter.

He has been in the industry for over five years now and has worked on various sized charter and private vessels ranging from 50-65m. Jesse wants to achieve his dream of completing his Officer of the Watch modules and qualifications and is currently working towards that goal. Jesse is an avid sports enthusiast and loves watching and playing sports. In his spare time, he loves to play golf, padel and go to the gym. His entire youth, Max spent summers on the French Riviera, in Sardinia and Corsica. Two generations of his family hold pleasure yacht licenses, therefore the maritime industry seemed to be his calling. He started his career as captain on a 15m charter boat between Corsica and Italy. After running a private sailing yacht in Southampton and private yachts in St-Tropez, he captained in St Maarten, Croatia, Greece and in the West Mediterranean. Max is motivated to teach anybody who is keen and passionate about the watersports offered on board and enjoys making guests' holidays unforgettable. His work is driven by the principles of passion, safety and service.
