With a strong background in nautical operations and guest service, Inês brings both professionalism and warmth to the experience aboard the LARGO. A certified Local Skipper with additional training in safety, crowd management, and guest services, she has previously worked on luxury vessels including the Solaris Power and Princess yachts. Fluent in English and Spanish, Inês ensures that every guest feels welcomed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their voyage. Her attention to detail and passion for hospitality make her an invaluable part of the LARGO crew.

Gabriel and Ivo have worked in some of the defining wine institutions around Porto and the surrounding regions. What defines them as an authority on the Douro wine region, however, is that as well as being the head sommelier and second sommelier of The LARGO projects, they are also local winemakers.
Producing their own label in Ivo’s family vineyard in Baixo Corgo, the pair’s inimitable love and knowledge of the viticulture of the Douro allows them to host exceptional wine-led experiences aboard LARGO.

Afonso began sailing in Porto at the age of 7, graduating in 2007 from the Military Naval Academy as a young officer. Afonso served with the Portuguese Navy and trained with the BR Royal Navy until 2018, accruing experience in both national and international NATO missions, at which time he joined the luxury yachting profession.
Captain of LARGO since May 2022 and a sailor of the Douro since he was born, Afonso’s knowledge of the area is second to none.
