I am a 23 year old South African with a strong passion for engineering, which was sparked from a young age. I landed my first job in the Cape on a sailing catamaran where I worked my way up to First Mate. A year later I found myself in the South of France working on a 33m sailing yacht as sole engineer where we also took part in the racing regattas, for which i have a big passion. This being my third yachting season I truly enjoy being part of this team and motor yacht Lauren V is definitely the best part of my yachting journey.

Originally from Durban, South Africa, I spent the past 10 years living in Cape Town where I worked as a photographer and videographer. My passion for storytelling, travel, and the outdoors naturally led me to the yachting industry. I love exploring new places and being immersed in nature, which makes life at sea a perfect fit. I’m enjoy working with people and I am always happy to help—please don’t hesitate to approach me with any requests during your time on board!!

Originally from Holland, but moved to South Africa as a teenager. Started working on a dive charter boat at the age of 16 and spent until my early 30s running scuba diving, spearfishing and whale watching charters. Having a passion for marine life and fishing, I spent most of my life at sea, driving, fixing and maintaining all sorts of marine equipment and owned my own dive lodge in Mozambique for over 5 years, finally settling in the south of France and after a few years of being chief engineer on board Lauren V I've taken over as captain.
