Raymond’s passion for travelling began from a very young age; his father being a meteorologist allowed them as a family to travel each year to new and exciting destinations dependent on the contract. Raymond was fortunate enough to have travelled to New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa, Australia, and America before he had even turned 15. Raymond believes that his love for the ocean grew when he learnt how to sail in Fiji as a little boy, starting on optimists which progressed to lasers. Once Raymond settled in Australia, his focus shifted to basketball where he began to play professionally for two years. He soon realized that his passion for travel and the ocean took precedence over this, which is when he discovered the yachting industry in 2012. He has now worked on several well-established yachts, privately owned, chartered and new-builds. Ray has cruised many waters including The Atlantic, South Pacific, Mediterranean, Caribbean, Baltic, and Indian Oceans and has progressed in his career by achieving his Chief Mate
