Profile: Ide was raised in a small fishing village on the west coast of South Africa, where her deep connection to the ocean was cultivated from an early age. Her childhood was filled with outdoor pursuits, including free diving, offshore fishing, kitesurfing, jetskiing, and metal detecting along the shoreline. It is while free diving, admiring the beauty beneath the surface, that she feels most at home. In 2022, Ide earned a degree in International Supply Chain Management and launched her professional career in the fruit and vegetable export industry, yet her affinity for the ocean remained ever-present. In 2024, she transitioned into the yachting industry, a decision that seamlessly combined her love for marine life, travel, and her hospitable nature. Since making the leap, she has embraced this new chapter wholeheartedly and hasn’t looked back.
