Carlos is one of our rotating Chief Engineers on board. Born in Acapulco, Guerrero, and currently living in Veracruz, Mexico, he speaks both Spanish and English fluently. Carlos has been apart of the yachting industry for four years, and before that, spent six years working on commercial vessels across South America, Europe, and the Gulf of Mexico. He studied for four years at the Mexican Merchant Marine Academy, where he graduated as a Marine Mechanical and Engineering Officer. Carlos’ licenses include Officer of the Watch (Unlimited) and Chief Engineer up to 3000 kW. He is an active person who enjoys working as part of a team and always looks for solutions to any problem that may arise. He is passionate about his job and takes pride in keeping everything running smoothly onboard. In his free time, Carlos likes to play football and enjoy good food, especially when it is shared with great company.

Valeriy is one of Maverick's rotating Chief Engineers, bringing more than a decade of engineering experience to the yacht after beginning his career in the commercial maritime industry. Raised on Ukraine's Black Sea coast, his passion for engineering began at a young age while repairing motorbikes alongside his father. Today, Val combines extensive technical expertise with a proactive, solutions-driven approach that keeps the yacht operating at its highest standards. Outside of work, he enjoys drag racing and sharing his engineering knowledge with crew and guests alike.

Having grown up by the Ocean, Captain Diego started his maritime studies for commercial Maritime in Colombia and finished in the UK.
Started working on cruise ships and during a vacation period got certified as PADI Dive Instructor and during his first few years working in the industry got certified more than 380 students and has logged over 2000 dives all over the world.
Has cruised as Master the Pacific, Atlantic, Caribbean, Mediterranean. He is highly organized and safety oriented. He has plenty of experience in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Pacific all the way to Galapagos, with both private and heavy charter programs, and more than 16 Atlantic Crossings under his belt.

Chef Jonathan discovered his passion for culinary arts through his family's fishing and restaurant background before beginning his culinary career in 2009. After graduating from culinary school in Miami, he refined his skills in restaurants throughout Miami, New York, and Europe before joining the yachting industry in 2018. His globally inspired menus combine fresh ingredients with creative techniques, delivering memorable dining experiences tailored to every guest onboard.
With seven years of yachting experience, Caera leads Maverick's interior team with professionalism, creativity, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. She is dedicated to training her team while ensuring every charter exceeds expectations. Before entering yachting, Caera trained as a classical cellist, and her appreciation for music continues today. A skilled mixologist who enjoys scuba diving, wake surfing, and snorkeling, she brings energy, elegance, and attention to detail to every guest experience.

Valeriy is one of our rotating Chief Engineers on board. Born and raised on the coast of the Black Sea in Kherson town, Ukraine, he speaks both Ukrainian and English fluently. Val, developed a passion for engineering from a young age, assisting in the repair of motorbikes and scooters in his father’s garage. This early interest led him to pursue a career as a marine engineer, starting in the commercial sector before transitioning to the yachting industry, where he accumulated over 10 years of experience. In his free time, Val indulges his love for cars by participating in local drag race competitions. With his extensive engineering knowledge and yachting experience,
Val is eager to assist with any questions you may have.

Luis is our Spanish speaker deckhand.
Born and raised in Mexico, he completed successfully his degree at the merchant academy.
Having three years of experience in yachting and previously working on merchant vessels as Deck Officer, he knows all the Caribbean islands and has been many times around The Bahamas, this makes him no stranger to long voyages, and the teamwork it takes to keep a vessel running smoothly.
Beyond work, Luis enjoys the camaraderie of life on board and is always up for a good conversation or a shared laugh with the crew and guests. exploring new places and taking pictures and learning languages is what he enjoys the most. Hardworking and easygoing, he’s a valuable team player who helps keep things running smoothly on deck.

Daan is an experienced and safety-focused Chief Officer with five years in the yachting industry. With a strong background in both private and charter operations, he oversees navigation, bridge watchkeeping, deck operations, maintenance planning, and crew management to ensure the vessel operates safely and efficiently. Having cruised extensively throughout the Atlantic, Mediterranean, Caribbean, and the United States, Daan brings professionalism, a calm leadership style, and excellent operational knowledge to every voyage. A certified PADI Scuba Diving Instructor, he enjoys exploring underwater and riding dirt bikes in his spare time.

Ella, new to the yachting industry, is our lovely 3rd Stewardess onboard M/Y Maverick. Ella was born and raised in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, where she grew up swimming, surfing, and spending most of her time by the ocean. Before joining yachting, Ella graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Data Science and a minor in Artificial Intelligence, but she has always known the ocean is where she feels most at home. A fun fact about Ella is that she has never dyed her beautiful Blonde hair! Ellas favorite place she's traveled to is Kauai, Hawaii, mostly because of the incredible fresh tuna poke. In her free time, she enjoys staying active, reading, collecting shells and shark teeth, and trying new foods. Ella is so grateful to be onboard and excited to keep learning and growing!
