Born and raised on the island, he developed a strong connection to the ocean, which has fueled his love for yachting and watersports. Before starting working on yachts, Ishmael worked as a model for Burberry. Beyond his professional interests, he is also an avid fan of Formula 1, poetry, and boxing. With a blend of creativity and strategic thinking, Ishmael is dedicated to exploring opportunities within the yachting world while embracing the adventurous lifestyle it offers.

Grace has spent the last 11 years in the yachting industry, following 5 years of experience as sales staff in a mall in the Middle East. As a stewardess, Grace takes immense pride in her work and finds great satisfaction in housekeeping and all areas of the interior. She also enjoys capturing the beauty of the places she visits through photography. Family is incredibly important to her, and she always puts them first. Grace has a passion for learning about new cultures and enjoys exploring new places, always eager for her next adventure. Food is another love of hers, Grace relishes trying new cuisines and culinary experiences. Fun fact: If given the opportunity to pursue another career, she would love to be a food critic.

When Michelle isn’t ensuring everything runs smoothly, you’ll find her hiking, boxing, exploring new places, and meeting amazing people from around the world. She is excited to share this journey with you and looks forward to making your experience truly special.

Gabriel is a 24 year old engineer from Barbados. He has found that if there is anything with an engine involved, he is interested. This has meant a big chunk of his life gravitated towards mechanics ; working on any sort of motor driven system is something he finds very satisfying, so the engine room is where he likes to spend his days. Yachting offers so many advantages and he wants to learn as much as he can beneath guidance of more experienced engineers so he can grow within the industry. Gabriel has big dreams and ambition. He is hard working, and brings a positive energy to the table. Outside of the engine room and his work life Gabriel is passionate about sports. Both playing and watching, football, cricket & water polo are just a few of his favorites. He is also an avid Formula One follower.

Kirsty grew up in a small Cotswold town in the heart of the English countryside. She left home at 18 to be a chalet host in the French Alps, where she discovered a love of snowboarding and après ski. After two years, she returned home to continue her studies, graduating from London Metropolitan University, with a BA honors degree in Journalism. She joined yachting in 2016 initially as a sole stew and has dabbled in both motor and sailing yachts over the years. She completed a circumnavigated the globe in 2021. As well as winter, water and extreme sports, you’ll often find Kirsty nose deep in a good book. She is also trying to learn Spanish. Kirsty is very much looking forward to making your stay on MY Oceanos a muy bien one!

Born in the coast of Venezuela, in the North of South America, Jose has over seven years yachting experience. He has worked on the sea since he was 26, always feeling at home on the water, despite the fact that he was previously working in big factories with his engineering degree! Jose is a Watersports fan & his responsibilities include overseeing Oceanos’ wide array of watersports activities. Jose has followed a structured career path from Deckhand to Bosun, meaning he knows all the intricacies of a Yacht. Technically adept, hard working with excellent attention to detail, Jose will ensure that guests are looked after in a safe, yet fun manner. Jose is a keen jet skier and Efoiler, enjoys outdoor activities and is dedicated to giving guests the best experience possible on board Oceanos.

With over 30 years of culinary experience, Henrique is no stranger to using his creative mind to create, elevate and fundamentally take you on a culinary journey around the world. Henrique’s passion for delivering an exceptional experience is unprecedented and has proven this consistently over the last 22 years as a chef within the yachting industry. Henrique is extremely skilled in putting his own stamp on traditional dishes by putting a more creative and exciting twist without compromising the dishes original beauty. Being born in Portugal he loves to prepare fresh seafood and fish however he has lived around the world in places such as Norway, France, Ireland, Sweden and India. He has gone out of his way to learn each countries precise methods in created spectacular dishes. In terms of culinary training Henrique has a wealth of experience in French, Asian, Italian, Indian, Mexican and Middle eastern cuisine. He is also very familiar with a vast range of dishes to support anyone with dietary requirements. Almost sounds too good to be true? Tanah is a 36-year-old Bosun, born in Durban, South Africa. She describes herself as an energetic ball of excitement that will always welcome you with a smile. Tanah is known to go above and beyond to ensure our guests have the most memorable experiences. Her passion is working with children, and seeing how excited and grateful they are when out in the water. She comfortably teaches kids the importance of safety while maintaining an energetic and fun environment, that leaves families smiling ear to ear. Her pure love for the ocean comes from her previous experience as a former semi-professional surfer, where she now uses those skills here at Oceanos. She loves the outdoors so if you looking for her, she will be near to the water.
