Thanasis holds a Captain’s degree from the Merchant Marine Academy of Epirus as well as a speedboat license and has completed the STCW training. He commenced a career at sea in 2013, serving on various tankers and bulk carriers and during his work at the Hellenic Navy, he participated in some NATO exercises focusing on navigation, supervision, and travel planning. Moreover, he is very keen to extend his knowledge by attending more seminars on yachting for high profile guests. His hard work along with his exceptional skills in organization and the attention he pays to details make him a valuable crew member on board.

Angeliki holds all certificates required for seafarers in Personal Survival Techniques, Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting, Elementary First Aid, Personal Safety. Her previous experience includes working on a 51m luxury motor yacht as a Stewardess and in many luxury Hotels. where she had the chance to sharpen her skills and acquire new knowledge. She is highly professional, hardworking, kind and friendly to our guests with a calm and positive attitude.

Vangelis holds a Class A’ Steward license and joined yachting after many years of service on cruise liners, all over the world. He is a proud and loyal member of our team as he has served on M/Y O’Rion since 2005, offering top notch quality services to our guests throughout the years with the same enthusiasm and passion. He maintains an unparalleled level of professionalism and takes great pride and pleasure in his work. He enjoys fishing and always tries to team with the Captain and catch fresh fishes during the charter as nothing makes him happier than seeing all the guests have a wonderful time on board.

Chef Konstantinos is a graduate of the Chef d’ Oeuvre School and has been working as a Chef for many years. Prior to joining yachting, Konstantinos had worked in numerous 5* Hotels and renowned Restaurants in Greece and abroad. In 2008 he decided to bring his knowledge and experience on charter motor yachts and after a few seasons he finally joined our team in 2016. Konstantinos is an expert Chef who enjoys impressing guests with a gastronomic roll call of dishes inspired by his travels all over the world. He will create memorable and flavourful courses that our guests will never forget.

George holds a Marine Engineer Class B Diploma from the Merchant Marine Academy of Crete. He also holds a valid seaman’s book and certificates in Ro-Ro passenger vessels, ENG1 and STCW training. Having more than twenty years of experience in cruise liners and super yachts, he has become an expert in gas turbines, modern technology maneuvering and auxiliary systems. He is a hardworking and valuable crew member who pays attention to every single detail in order to ensure the optimal performance of the yacht.

George Gonakis
Chief engineer
Captain Lefteris graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy of Hydra and holds a Captain’s Class B’ Diploma. He also holds Certificates in General Operation of Global Maritime, ARPA Radar, Operation of Automatic Radar Plodder Aids, Panic Management and Medical Care on board and an MLC certificate. He commenced his career in 1992 and had worked on merchant ships prior to moving to the yachting industry. After serving on various motor yachts, he decided to bring his expertise and tremendous skills on M/Y O’Rion in 2004 and has been at her helm since then. Lefteris enjoys spending time with his guests, managing to learn their preferences in order to serve them at the maximum possible extent. Apart from being an excellent Captain and one of the best in the industry, he also enjoys fishing and can surprise our guests with an unexpected BBQ with fresh fish caught during the charter. Once on board M/Y O’Rion you will instantly feel “right at home” from the warm greeting that you will receive by the Captain and the Crew and the tranquillity that surrounds the yacht.

Maria holds Certificates in “Life Saving & Fire Fighting Appliances”, “Ro-Ro- Passenger”, “Overseas Marine Operational Training” and “Speed Boat license”. Furthermore, she finished her studies at a Technical Lyceum, and after completing her training on board she will obtain Captain’s Diploma Class C. In addition, she holds a Fashion Designer Diploma. She is a willing and hardworking person.
