A motivated and hands-on Chief Mate, Adam has extensive experience on charter/private yachts up to 70m. Confident in navigation, tender driving, bridgework and all aspects of deck operations Adam has a solid understanding of on board procedures with plenty of experience driving a variety of tenders in both relaxed and high-pressure situations. Adam takes pride in maintaining high standards, communicating clearly, and supporting a positive, efficient crew dynamic. Leading by example, while also knowing when to get stuck in on deck as part of the team, Adam has worked on 50m Dokinha and Champagne Seas to 70m Horizons III to name a few. Adam joined ORION this Spring 2026.

A junior stewardess with one season of experience behind her, Summer joined the crew of ORION Autumn 2025. Working in the yachting industry, covering service, housekeeping, and galley support her responsibilities include guest service, table settings, laundry, and assisting in the galley with meal preparation for crew and guests. This strong start to this industry has given Summer a solid foundation in adaptability, attention to detail, and working effectively as part of the ORION fast-paced team. Bringing reliability, efficiency, and flexibility to the interior team Summer is looking ahead to the charter season.
Outside of yachting, her interests range from cooking, baking, painting, stand-up paddleboarding, and swimming.

Energetic and eager to learn, Indi is a stewardess with a strong foundation in hospitality and a proactive, guest-focused attitude. She recently completed a three-week intensive stewardess training course and quickly put her skills to use aboard 119m Breakthrough, where she supported housekeeping and laundry operations. With a background in hospitality and procurement roles on land, Indi brings barista and cocktail knowledge, attention to detail, and a calm demeaner to every task. Her strengths in discretion and teamwork make her a dependable and personable member of ORION's interior crew. Indi joined in November 2025.

A highly professional captain with proven longevity spanning 25yrs, Remo has experience in a broad spectrum of areas from new build management to refits, to global navigation, crew development and the highest standards for charter guests in hospitality and safety. Previous commands start from more recently on MY Serenity And Unity, 63m Amels, MY Latitude, 53m Benetti & MY Sea & Us, 63m Amels to name a few. Remo comes to ORION with his experience as a rotational captain on board both private and charter yachts. Remo’s interests include golf, tennis, paddle tennis, diving, skiing, hiking and fishing as well and when at home relaxing and cooking with his wife. Remo is also a Master Carpenter, so many qualities to this versatile captain.

With engineering experience and coming from a position on Deck/engineer on 55m Gene Machine, Byron takes pride in his work, working efficiently, safely, and to the best of his ability, always willing to assist where possible. Byron is a calm and composed crew member working well under pressure. Having attended boarding school in Zimbabwe, he understands that respect, consideration, and a laid-back personality are essential when working on board with his fellow crew members.

With over a decade of yachting and luxury hospitality experience, Romanian-born Madalina exemplifies the gold standard of guest service. As Chief Stewardess aboard both private and charter yachts such as 62m Ipanemas, 49m LA Dea II & 37m Bunty. She leads with precision, warmth, and an eye for detail. Her wide-ranging expertise spans formal service, floristry, wine knowledge, event coordination, and inventory systems. Madalina is also GUEST III CoC certified and trained in advanced yacht interior management, human resources, and medical care. Being calm and collected she sets the tone for a high-functioning interior team while ensuring every guest experience is thoughtfully curated and memorable.

Nickname Blake, with 15 years’ experience on 35–60m motor yachts operating throughout the Mediterranean, he brings experience to ORION this summer. Taking much pride in running an organized, efficient engine room and keeping yachts technically sound, safe, and fully prepared for charter. Practical and proactive by nature, with strong experience in maintenance planning, fault-finding, yard periods and survey preparation, Blake has been based in Mallorca for the last 10 years, he has a solid relationship with local shipyards, contractors and suppliers.
Last yachts such as 44m Pandion Pearl, 43m Diane and 35m Chimera to name a few since starting in the industry in 2011.

Bringing over a decade of technical expertise to Nicholas' role, with extensive experience in refits, shipyard operations, and chief engineer responsibilities aboard vessels up to 59m, Nicolas is a great asset to the ORION team. From 59m Senses, 48m Aquamarina & 49m Spaceship to name a few. Holding a Y3 license, he has led major overhauls including main engine removals and complex system upgrades. Nicholas is passionate about team development, blending strong leadership with a proactive mentoring style. His hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset are evident across Arctic passages, busy charters, and intricate maintenance programs. Technically versatile and committed to continual improvement, Nicholas is a dependable and forward-thinking addition to any engineering team. In his spare time Nicholas enjoys high altitude alpine ice climbing, Freediving (AIDA 2 certified), running, cycling and much more.

With over 24 years as a professional chef, working in high end establishments including over 10 yacht seasons, James joins the ORION team this Spring.
Working with guests and crew creating a professional and relaxed environment James loves getting stuck in and helping in other departments working as a team to achieve the best possible outcome for guests and the crew. With much experience with gluten free cuisine, as well as diabetic/sugar free, vegetarian, and also Kosha foods. James' cooking style is primarily Mediterranean, French, Italian and western European, he touches on Asian and American foods as well but generally adaptable with most cuisines. Always learning James works on continually expanding his repertoire.
An adventurous person who loves to explore, whether it be the world, or different cuisines he likes his lifestyle to reflect in his cooking style. Previous yachts vary from his first position on the water being 60m MEAMINA in 2016, through to SY TIZIANA and M/Y LUCKY US.

An accomplished yacht Captain with 25 years’ experience on board commercially registered private & charter motor yachts. Providing unforgettable experiences for owners & charterers alike, including off the beaten track. Diving experiences in The Pacific & Indian Oceans or reliving historic events in Malta, Rome & Sicily. Matt believes in making dreams come true, nothing is too difficult or too much with a dedicated crew that work together, achieving unimaginable experiences in idyllic locations. Iconic names in the industry that Matt has taken charge are more recently 74m Synthesis, 90m Nero, 52 & 63m Amels by the same owner for 12yrs.
With also a high level of management experience demonstrating success in overseeing and leading new build projects & marine surveys, including audits, and yard periods, whilst maintaining and meeting all legal and legislative requirements Matt is a true leader who ensures the whole crew work together. Thus excelling in their guests’ expectations and all requests are met with exacting levels of professionalism with nothing left to chance. Matt has vast experience in all aspects of International Safety & Security. When relaxing Matt enjoys sailing, recreational diving, hiking and cycling… there is much more to list!
