Oscar, born and raised in Palma, Mallorca, kickstarted his highly successful yachting career by working on dive boats at the age of 19. Over the last 12 years, Oscar´s passion for the sailing and being on the ocean drove him to quickly rise through the ranks to be appointed Captain of a 53 meter sailboat at the age of 24. Since then, Oscar has captained both large sailing yachts and motor yachts in some of the most extraordinary places. He has extensive knowledge and experience cruising and sailing across every facet of the Mediterranean, United States, Bahamas, Caribbean, and even the eastern seaboard of South America including Uruguay, Argentina, and Brazil.

Matthew Kitching is the Deck Engineer aboard the renowned Motor Yacht Pink Shadow. Before diving into the yachting realm, Matthew wore the hat of a surf instructor, sharing his love for the waves with many. Beyond the decks and the surfboard, you’ll find him trail running, embracing nature’s raw beauty. One of his most memorable adventures was backpacking through Indonesia for three months. Lombok still holds a piece of his heart, easily being his favorite spot on this vast earth. Matthews yachting journey has seen him onboard Pink Gin 6 and the previous Pink Shadow, with a longstanding connection with the yacht’s owner and crew, a testament to their shared vision and his commitment. Working on this yacht is more than a role; it’s an experience. The camaraderie with crew and those special moments when they arrive in new countries and get to explore diverse cultures and languages - that’s what makes it truly rewarding.

Emile grew up in a small coastal town, where he developed a strong and growing interest in sports such as bodyboarding and surfing. From 2014 up until 2019, Emile competed at the South African Championships for bodyboarding. During those same years, Emile achieved his lifeguard qualification, sea-going crew qualification for the National Sea Rescue Institute, as well as his Maritime Emergency Care Level 3. Before yachting Emile was fresh out of high school, working for a sports equipment and clothing manufacturer, while volunteering as sea-going crew for the National Sea Rescue Institute, as well as developing my interest in investing and entrepreneurship. Before coming over to Pink Shadow, Emile was on Pink Gin, which was his first boat – a beautiful carbon fibre sailing yacht.

Growing up in Johannesburg South Africa, Shannay joined the yachting industry just over a year ago. She a has thoroughly enjoyed traveling between the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Prior to yachting, Shannay completed her Equestrian Stable management qualification which lead her to being a junior equestrian coach, as well as studying her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. Shannay has a deep passion for travelling. When out of work, Shannay spends her free time riding and training her ex-race horse, which she now competes without show jumping.

Nick Wilton is a seasoned yacht professional With a BSc Hons in Engineering and an HND in Mechatronics, his technical proficiency is complemented by Chief Engineer 9000kW and Yacht Master Offshore qualifications. With over a decade of experience, he has worked on various luxury yachts, showcasing his expertise in mechanical systems and navigation. Nicks best moments in the industry have been building 3 different yachts & Captaining the 67ft day sailor for owner of Pink Shadow. He has sailed across the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Caribbean, but his cruising grounds are Sardinia and Mallorca.

Born and raised on the lakes in Indiana, Chelsey is a former division 1 swimmer who attended and graduated from New Mexico State University. With her background as a former marketing and events manager, Chelsey has spent her time in yachting working on busy charter yachts. She is currently pursuing her Officer of the Watch license with the end goal to become a captain someday. She is a huge water sports enthusiast and loves to scuba dive, water ski, wakeboard, and to cruise around on the jet skis or E-foil!

Gabriella was born in England and moved to Botswana when she was young. Her eldest brother is a Head Chef in the industry and she continued the family traditions by finishing a 3- year cooking course with a 90% distinction at Silwood Kitchens in Cape Town, South Africa. After working at some of the top restaurants in Cape Town such as La Colombe, La Petite Colombe, Chef Warehouse Beau Constania, she started working on her first Yacht in 2021 called Plus Vltra. She enjoys adventure including skydiving, bungee jumping, scuba diving and snowboarding. She enjoys a fire in the bush and being surrounded by wild life after spending years living in Bostwana.

Being born and raised on the tiny island of St Helena in the middle of the South Atlantic, Ross has always been around boats and spending time in the ocean so naturally he decided to pursue a career in the yachting industry. Since leaving school Ross has worked in Marine Conservation and fisheries science on the island which gave him the opportunity to work with world renowned scientist tagging whale sharks and tuna and other research projects involving the flora and fauna in our waters. Ross has also worked on commercial fishing and dive boats part time.
