Özdemir grew up in Bodrum, Mugla and is a highly experienced deckhand. It was always his childhood dream to work in the maritime industry, and in 2018 he started his new career in the yachting world. He first joined the 27-meter Alaturka 81, where he worked as a deckhand for more than 2 years. He then assisted with anchoring, mooring and berthing on the 30 meter Grand Alaturka and various motor yachts, with an emphasis on precision and safety. He then joined Queen of Salmakis for this season as Deckhand. He has also worked with Captain Rahmi, the captain of Queen of Salmakis for many years. Therefore, their team cohesion is excellent.

His culinary journey also includes training in Japan, where he expanded his knowledge of Far Eastern cuisine and gained valuable international experience. Blending traditional Turkish and Mediterranean flavours with contemporary techniques and global influences, he stays attuned to evolving gastronomic trends while continually refining his craft. Emre joined Queen of Salmakis as Sous Chef for the 2026 season, bringing with him valuable experience as a ship chef on yachts such as Kasapoğlu, Alaturka, and several other luxury vessels. Combining strong culinary skills with solid maritime knowledge, he consistently delivers memorable dining experiences for guests. Known for his responsibility, discipline, and innovative, eager‑to‑learn mindset, Emre contributes positively to the teamwork and atmosphere within the galley. Having previously worked with Captain Rahmi on another yacht, he adds an extra layer of synergy and collaboration to the crew. With excellent references and extensive hands‑on experience, Emre plays a key role in ensuring high‑quality gastronomic experiences for everyone on board.

A graduate of Köyceğiz Ömer Halisdemir Maritime High School, he has developed solid expertise in vessel maintenance and passenger safety, supported by extensive work on well‑known gulets and trowlers such as Prenses Lila, Fulya 10, and Ruzanna. Throughout his career, Hakkı has demonstrated leadership, technical proficiency, and exceptional problem‑solving skills, excelling in deck operations, emergency response, and rapid lifeboat deployment to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency on board. Known for his clear communication, disciplined teamwork, and calm leadership during complex maneuvers, he brings reliability and professionalism to every task. Born in 1978, the sea is a passion for Captain Rahmi. Thanks to his experience in the Aegean Region, Mediterranean Region and Greek Islands, he creates a cruise plan for the most suitable route for his guests. In addition to his experience as a captain, his technical knowledge of boats also increases his equipment. He has a professional level of English and intermediate level of Spanish. Rahmi’s unwavering priority is the safety and comfort of all onboard, delivering nothing short of first-class service with a focus on excellence. Leading a proficient team, he ensures that the yacht is maintained to the highest standards, earning accolades from both owners and charter guests. His track record speaks volumes, with charters repeatedly booking under his helm. Joining the yacht in 2025, he eagerly anticipates welcoming guests onboard and crafting an unforgettable holiday experience for them.
