Cesar hails from sunny Mazatlan, Mexico, a beautiful coastal destination. Growing up on the water, Cesar found a love for all marine life and knew a career at sea would suit him well. He studied to become a merchant navy engineer at a military school which led him to work on board cargo ships around the world before he joined the yachting industry. Cesar has been a part of the Sea Shepard Conservation Society for several years and has a passion for protecting marine life. He also particularly enjoys rebuilding vessels in the shipyard and in his spare time, can be found in the gym, doing water sports, reading books and spending time with his family.

Andres was born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay. After school, Andres enrolled to study Marine Engineering at a university in Uruguay. He met his lovely wife in San Jose, Uruguay, and they resettled back in Montevideo where they raised two children. Andres studied with the Marchant Marines for 12 years on cargo ships, tankers, and Ro-Ro vessels, and it was after gaining those competencies he began working on commercial vessels. Adding to his experience, he worked on fishing vessels all over the world, including in the Pacific and the Falkland Islands. Whilst working in the commercial industry, Andres furthered his engineering competencies, obtaining the licenses to become a Chief Engineer. Through his travels and many years working at sea, Andres was given an opportunity by a colleague to join the yachting industry as a Chief Engineer on board a Motor Yacht, and thirty years later, Andres continues as Chief Engineer on REVERIE. He loves to travel, both personally and on board as crew, and thoroughly enjoys taking part in new build projects and refits.

Chef Nick has been in the game for the last 25 years. He started off working in a Portuguese restaurant in Johannesburg, South Africa and then went on to study culinary arts at the Cordon Bleu French Cookery School. Nick worked in a 5-star hotel in Johannesburg where he was fortunate to cook for Nelson Mandela’s Birthday. Nick left South Africa to take his passions abroad where he worked at a luxury ski chalet in Switzerland followed by a luxury Italian cookery school in Tuscany. Nick began his yachting career in the year 2000 and since, has over 15 years’ experience at sea, working all over the world. Since starting his yachting career, he has also worked on land in the UK as head chef and executive chef in restaurants such as Rick Stein’s famous seafood restaurant in Cornwall. Nick is very passionate about fresh fish and seafood, but also loves to cook with fresh produce and good quality meat. He enjoys cooking many different styles of cuisine and is very accommodating when it comes to his guest’s palate. His favorite cuisines to cook include Mexican, Mediterranean, Thai, Japanese and Indian though, he is always up for anything! In his spare time, Nick loves being at home in the countryside with his children, keeping fit and riding motorbikes.

Hidaya hails from Indonesia, a dream destination for most. He developed a deep passion for traveling as he grew up surrounded by beautiful islands. As he traveled further out, he mostly enjoyed immersing himself in new cultures and exploring new landscapes. His love for travel and engineering skills landed him in the yachting industry where he now thrives, doing what he loves most! Hidaya is a very dependable engineer and loves lending a helping hand wherever he can.

Dylan was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California. Living on the coast, his family was big into sailing, and assumably, he was on board sailboats at just a few months old. He was an absolute water baby and sailing became his passion from a young age. Dylan started sailing professionally after school and earned his place competing in various races. He went on to win the Transpacific cup racing across the Pacific between California and Hawaii. During his sailing career, he sailed across the Pacific Ocean eight times. Dylan joined the world of yachting after suffering an injury while racing, though, that hasn’t slowed him down from building a career or enjoying all that this industry has to offer crew at sea. He has been yachting for over five years now and loves sharing his passion for the water with others.

Megan grew up in Cape Town, South Africa near the constantia wine valley, where her interest in hospitality began by visiting wine farms and restaurants in the area. From a young age, Megan loved to cook for and entertain family and friends, always planning birthday parties and watching cooking shows. After school, Megan enrolled in a four-year International Hotel Management degree where she excelled and quickly learned the tricks of the hospitality trade. Upon graduating, Megan joined the yachting industry as it felt like a good fit for her to be able to pursue her hospitality career whilst travelling the globe and meeting new people. Megan has been in the yachting industry for eight years now and loves nothing more than making the guests stay on board a memorable one.

Kyle was born and raised in Durban, on the East Coast of South Africa and currently resides in the UK. After high school, he spent eight years in events where he did hospitality and event management. Kyle is an avid water sports enthusiast and in his spare time, he was an SSA qualified surf instructor in Cape Town. Whilst working part-time, he completed a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology. Kyle decided to make a career move and joined the yachting industry in 2020 to pursue his dream of a life at sea. Since joining, he has completed his 200-ton yacht master license and is currently furthering his ambitions by completing his Officer of the Watch modules. In his spare time, Kyle plays recreational club water polo, is an avid surfer and, a general all round water sports enthusiast. He loves sharing his passion about the ocean with all guests that come on board Reverie.

Born and raised on a small island off the south coast of England, the Isle of Wight, Louis developed a deep connection to the ocean from an early age. Louis’s journey into yachting started when he was just 16, crewing on small pleasure crafts in the Solent alongside studying at UKSA. Louis is a passionate surfer, holding a position as a surf instructor and participating in several surf competitions. Louis has now been in the industry for 3 years and can’t wait to study and progress through the ranks.
Alongside life on the water, music production and DJing have been a significant part of his life since a young age, ‘Call me Lou’ held a resident spot at The Hut – an iconic beach bar on the island.

Ella grew up surrounded by the sea on the Isle of Wight, U.K. Ella’s first job was doing the local paper-round at 13 which instilled a strong work ethic in her. At 16 she decided to pursue a career more aligned with her passions. After completing a two year course at UKSA, Ella held a position as a dinghy instructor at Seaview Yacht Club before deciding to join the yachting industry. In her spare time, she enjoys staying active through hiking and water sports, alongside pursuing her interest in photography. She is excited to bring her enthusiasm, reliability, and kind personality on board.

Shane is originally from Knysna, South Africa, but now calls Playa Venao, Panama home. He has been a superyacht captain for 18+ years, gaining extensive experience and knowledge onboard charter yachts during this time. Shane has navigated as far south as Grenada, through the Caribbean, Bahamian Islands, New England, the Mediterranean, and the Pacific. Prior to becoming a yachting professional, Shane was a project manager in the construction industry in South Africa and the United Kingdom. Shane holds a 3000-ton MCA Master Class 4 license and prides himself on running a professional operation that creates a safe and fun environment for guests and crew alike. Shane's interests include surfing, kitesurfing, architecture, traveling and enjoying international cuisine.
