His passion for the sea and boats led him to start his adventure on
boats in the early years as a cook and later also as a sailor

Captain Maurizio was born near Cesenatico on the central-northern Adriatic Sea and began his career at sea on fishing boats in 1979 and soon moved on to commercial vessels. Subsequently he specialized in the supply vessel sector: offshore tugboats for platform support, rescue and rescue at sea, anti-pollution services and environmental disasters. His desire to experiment, together with his competence, preparation and experience, lead him to also carry out passenger services in the Mediterranean. He finally arrived in the world of private and commercial pleasure boats in 2007 and stands out for his reliability, preparation and priority attention to safety, so much so that he personally takes care of the related technical aspects on board. The 2025 is the second successful charter season on board of Rock Moon.
