Captain Made, he is from Bali, has spent over 10 years working at sea. Many of those as a liveaboard captain. He took a short break from sailing to become a lecturer at a maritime school, sharing his knowledge and experience with future seafarers. Now back where he feels most at home, Captain Made leads the vessel with calm authority and a deep understanding of life at sea.

His strong maritime background and attention to detail ensure Sanctuary run efficiently and safely. Always approachable, he contributes to the welcoming and professional atmosphere onboard.

He’s easygoing and always ready to help, even if he prefers to stay out of the spotlight. Rumor has it he has a great singing voice, but good luck getting him to actually sing in front of people.

Originally from Bali, Roni brings over 7 years of experience from both resorts and liveaboards. so yes, he knows how to cook a full-course meal even when the kitchen feels like a roller coaster. While Indonesian cuisine is his specialty (and passion), he’s also skilled in Western, Chinese, and broader Asian dishes. Calm, focused, and famously patient, Roni lets his cooking speak for itself.

Born and raised in Bali, Gede brings 3 years of culinary experience to the team, including time spent working on a cruise ship before joining the world of liveaboards. He supports the galley with precision and calm, helping serve up meals that make guests forget they’re in the middle of the sea.

Sandi, from Surabaya, has been working in the liveaboard world for over 6 years. As Second Engineer, he works behind the scenes to keep the engine room running smoothly and the lights on .. literally. Quiet and steady, Sandi is the kind of crew member you don’t always see, but you definitely feel his work in every smooth sailing day.

At 21, Arun is the youngest member of the crew, though he’s only been working on boats for a year, he grew up in Bulukumba, the birthplace of Indonesia’s traditional phinisi ships. The ocean is practically in his blood. Always eager to learn and never short on energy, Arun brings fresh spirit and dedication to every trip.

Doni has spent over a decade working on boats and somehow still manages to look surprised when the dinghy gets splashed. Originally a quiet guy, Doni may not talk much at first but he knows the best spots in the area and always shows up when it matters. Reliable, observant, and ready to help.
