Originally from Odesa, Ukraine, Oleg brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role as an engineer. He began his maritime career in 1997, working aboard large commercial vessels where he honed his technical skills and developed a deep understanding of life at sea. In recent years, Oleg has transitioned to the world of superyachts, where his expertise and adaptability continue to shine.
Known for his enthusiastic approach and calm confidence, Oleg thrives in team environments and consistently rises to any challenge. His hands-on experience, combined with a proactive mindset, makes him a valued and reliable member of any crew.

Milos was born in Novi Sad, Serbia, and grew up in the small town of Sremski Karlovci, a place well known for its delicious wines. From a young age, he knew he wanted to become a chef. At just 15 years old, he declared, “One day I will be a chef on a ship and have my own restaurant.”
He began his journey working on ships in 2015 and has been getting closer and closer to achieving his dreams ever since.
Jeselle grew up on the East coast of South Africa in Durban and then moved to her current home in the Mother City of South Africa, Cape Town. Jeselle has always sought after adventure and loves exploring the unknown. Jeselle joined yachting in 2019 and has been growing in her experience. She has a passion for hospitality and service and will always give her best to fulfil her position onboard to ensure guests having the trip of a lifetime!

Nicolaas brings 18 years of experience to his position onboard and is responsible for the operation and navigation of the vessel, including safety of guests, crew, and the environment. He will work closely with the owners and guests to ensure they have an unforgettable time onboard The Scorpion! Nicolaas grew up in Cape Town, South Africa where his love for the ocean began. He lived 5 minutes from the beach and started surfing at the age of 12 and diving at the age of 15. This interaction with the ocean inspired him to live and work on the ocean and become a captain.

Marais is from a small quaint town named Paarl, just a 40 minute drive from Cape Town. Marais spent the majority of his life growing up on a wine farm. My profound love for the ocean has been ingrainded in me since childhood. Whether it's surfing the waves or simply enjoying a day at the beach, he has always felt a deep connection to the sea.
This lifelong passion eventually led him to pursue a career as a yachtie, where he can share his love for the ocean with others. Additionally, Marais is naturally outgoing individual who thrives on meeting new people and cherishing moments with family and friends.

Irma, a dedicated stew and skilled masseuse whose passion for wellness is matched only by her love for the sea. Hailing from the charming coastal town of Mossel Bay, Irma grew up with a deep respect for the ocean and a natural flair for hospitality. She holds qualifications in Somatology and Dermal Aesthetics, earned in the heart of the picturesque Stellenbosch wine lands. With a calming presence and a meticulous eye for detail, Irma takes pride in her spa treatments and in every aspect of her work on board, always striving to create a serene and memorable experience for guests.
Handre is a vibrant and dynamic individual. His love for life, sense of humour, and passion for watersports make him a captiviating character. Growing up in Cape Town, surrounded by stunning scenery and opportunities for adventure, likely influenced his zest for life and love for the ocean.
His ultimate aspiration is to become a captain and motivate his crew to work cohesively while having fun along the way. Handre believes in taking pride in every task he undertakes onboard, as this brings enjoyment and removes the feeling of it being just work. With a knack for jokes and a contagious energy, he will undoublty keep the guests spirits high.

Amber grew up in the Garden Route that lies between the Indian Ocean and the beautiful Tsikama mountains of South Africa. After her studies Amber went on to teach English for 3 years in South East Asia. She enjoys the type of work life where she gets to experience travel and interesting ways of living and cultures unlike her own. Amber has an easy going personality, she enjoys snuggling up to a book. She has a good sense of humour and will always find away to make you feel at home and looked after in her gentle mannerisms.
Amber cannot wait to craft exquisite cocktails that tantalise the taste buds and curate stunning dining setups that elevate any occasion to a memorable experience.

Marozé grew up in Hartbeespoort Dam in South Africa. She believe her key strength comes from loving what she does.
The ocean has always given her a calm feeling. People see her as a spontaneous, passionate, and friendly person who will take on any challenge.
Her motto is “doing what scares you makes you grow.”
Marozé believes in living life to the fullest while standing by her values.

From George, along South Africa’s scenic Garden Route, Michael was raised around the sea. With a father who captained yachts and a family active in the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), a career in yachting came naturally. Since joining the industry in 2017, he has built a solid foundation and is committed to a long-term career at sea. After gaining valuable experience in the Caribbean, Michael is now eager to explore the Mediterranean. Passionate about snorkelling and discovering new waters, he enjoys creating memorable experiences for guests. Off the yacht, you’ll find him overlanding through Africa or restoring classic cars.
