Your dedicated Chief Engineer Dmitry, born and raised in the wonderful city of Odessa, located on the Black Sea Coast. Graduated Odessa National Marine Academy and got qualification master of engineering.
I have over 17 years experience in maintenance, operating, troubleshooting and repairing of various machinery equipment onboard of vessels.
I am flexible and enjoy working as part of a team. Staying active, going to the gym and swimming pool, ice-skate, ski, travelling and discovering new countries.

Jeselle grew up on the East coast of South Africa in Durban and then moved to her current home in the Mother City of South Africa, Cape Town. Jeselle has always sought after adventure and loves exploring the unknown. Jeselle joined yachting in 2019 and has been growing in her experience. She has a passion for hospitality and service and will always give her best to fulfil her position onboard to ensure guests having the trip of a lifetime!

His ultimate aspiration is to become a captain and motivate his crew to work cohesively while having fun along the way. Handre believes in taking pride in every task he undertakes onboard, as this brings enjoyment and removes the feeling of it being just work. With a knack for jokes and a contagious energy, he will undoublty keep the guests spirits high.

Nicolaas brings 18 years of experience to his position onboard and is responsible for the operation and navigation of the vessel, including safety of guests, crew, and the environment. He will work closely with the owners and guests to ensure they have an unforgettable time onboard The Scorpion! Nicolaas grew up in Cape Town, South Africa where his love for the ocean began. He lived 5 minutes from the beach and started surfing at the age of 12 and diving at the age of 15. This interaction with the ocean inspired him to live and work on the ocean and become a captain.

Matt was born and raised in England. He lived and went to university in New Zealand and Australia. Matt holds a UK unlimited commercial maritime qualifications. He has previously worked in both Marine biology and is a Scuba dive instructor, Diver Medic and water sports instructor. He has been working onboard super yachts since 2004.

Marais is from a small quaint town named Paarl, just a 40 minute drive from Cape Town. Marais spent the majority of his life growing up on a wine farm. My profound love for the ocean has been ingrainded in me since childhood. Whether it's surfing the waves or simply enjoying a day at the beach, he has always felt a deep connection to the sea.
This lifelong passion eventually led him to pursue a career as a yachtie, where he can share his love for the ocean with others. Additionally, Marais is naturally outgoing individual who thrives on meeting new people and cherishing moments with family and friends.

Amber grew up in the Garden Route that lies between the Indian Ocean and the beautiful Tsikama mountains of South Africa. After her studies Amber went on to teach English for 3 years in South East Asia. She enjoys the type of work life where she gets to experience travel and interesting ways of living and cultures unlike her own. Amber has an easy going personality, she enjoys snuggling up to a book. She has a good sense of humour and will always find away to make you feel at home and looked after in her gentle mannerisms.
Amber cannot wait to craft exquisite cocktails that tantalise the taste buds and curate stunning dining setups that elevate any occasion to a memorable experience.

M/Y SCORPION has an art deco-classic and contemporary styles interior, plus some personal creative touches which are blended together to create an extraordinary and exceptional design by Tiziana Vercellesi and Owner himself! SCORPION's large stern area features the Beach Club, which is a fitness area complete with a gym and sauna with dedicated bathroom. The Beach Club faces a large bathing platform, immaculately levelled floor with no steps. The Beach Club is reachable through two stairways coming from the main deck. SCORPION offers accommodation up to 12 guests in 5 luxury suites.
