Stephane, originally from Cagnes-sur-Mer in France, is an experienced captain whose career has taken him across oceans and around the globe. Drawn by his passion for the sea and the thrill of racing, Stephane traded a successful career in dentistry for life aboard yachts back in 1983—and he's never looked back. Since then, he's built a remarkable reputation managing both racing and cruising yachts, clocking up an impressive 36 Atlantic crossings, along with two Pacific and two Indian Ocean voyages.
Stephane brings much more than sailing experience to the table. He is highly skilled in yacht budgeting, refit and build project management, and navigating the complexities of ISM and ISPS protocols.
Throughout his career, Stephane has captained notable yachts including S/Y INOUÏ, S/Y GLISS (108'), and the stunning classic S/Y SHENANDOAH (145’). Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, he connects naturally with guests and crew alike, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere onboard. Off the water, Stephane loves travelling, enjoys various water sports, and even channels his creativity into custom deck hardware design.
