Captain Josep brings decades of hands-on maritime experience and a deep-rooted passion for the sea to M/Y SEMAYA, where he has been a valued and consistent presence since 2016. With a career spanning back to the late 1980s, he has steadily progressed through the ranks, earning an extensive range of Spanish maritime qualifications up to Captain and Master levels, alongside advanced safety, medical, and navigation certifications.
Prior to joining SEMAYA, Josep commanded a variety of private and charter yachts, including well-known models from Astondoa, Mangusta, and Sunseeker, gaining invaluable experience across different vessel types and cruising grounds. His long-standing relationship with previous yacht owners is a testament to his reliability, professionalism, and ability to deliver exceptional service.
Calm, knowledgeable, and highly capable, Captain Josep is known for his strong leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to guest safety and comfort. Fluent in Spanish and Catalan, with a good working knowledge of English and Italian, he communicates effectively with both crew and guests alike. His extensive local knowledge, particularly of the Balearics, ensures that every itinerary is both seamless and memorable.
With his steady hand and wealth of experience, guests aboard SEMAYA can feel completely at ease, knowing they are in expert care.
When he is not at sea, Josep makes time for his other passions: travelling and motorbikes.

Chef Patricia Leal brings a vibrant, creative flair to the galley, combined with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences at sea. Originally from Argentina and now based in Mallorca, she has built a strong reputation across both private households and yachts, including 3 years onboard M/Y TRABUCAIRE and other Mediterranean-based vessels. She has been onboard the SEMAYA since 2023.
Patricia specializes in Mediterranean cuisine while confidently incorporating Italian, Asian, vegetarian, and vegan influences into her menus, creating bespoke dishes tailored to each guest’s preferences. Her approach is highly personalized, with a focus on fresh ingredients, balanced flavors, and beautifully presented plates that consistently exceed expectations.
With experience ranging from luxury private chef roles to high-end catering and yacht service, Patricia is equally comfortable operating independently or as part of a close-knit crew. She is known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and service onboard. Her background in both galley and interior service further enhances the overall guest experience.

Milagros Villarreal is a warm, attentive, and dedicated stewardess who brings a fresh and positive energy to the crew onboard M/Y SEMAYA. Originally from Córdoba, Argentina, she is currently part of the interior team, where she focuses on delivering a highly personalized and detail-oriented service to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable experience onboard.
With a natural sense of hospitality and a keen eye for detail, Milagros takes pride in creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, anticipating guests’ needs and exceeding expectations through thoughtful service. Her approachable personality and calm demeanor make her a valued presence among both guests and crew.
Passionate about languages and cultural exchange, Milagros enjoys connecting with people from different backgrounds, which enhances her ability to provide an intuitive and refined guest experience. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, outdoor activities, and music—interests that reflect her vibrant and well-rounded character.

Milagros Villarreal
Stewardess
Born in Argentina in 1995, Juan Bautista Morello followed in his father’s footsteps by pursuing a career at sea and becoming a qualified Marine Engineer. After gaining extensive experience aboard commercial vessels, including chemical tankers, bulk carriers, container ships, and factory fishing vessels, he transitioned into the yachting industry to combine his technical expertise with his passion for luxury hospitality and life at sea.
Juan holds an Unlimited Engineer Officer of the Watch license (STCW III/1) as well as a Licentiate Degree in Marine Propulsion Plants from the prestigious Escuela Nacional de Náutica “Manuel Belgrano” in Argentina. Throughout his career, he has developed strong skills in engine room operations, preventative maintenance, machinery repair, watchkeeping, safety management, and efficient vessel operations.
Known for his hardworking attitude, determination, and calm professionalism, Juan is highly motivated and adaptable, with experience supervising engine room teams and operating under demanding conditions. His technical background is complemented by a genuine passion for travel, the ocean, and teamwork onboard.
Outside of his maritime career, Juan is very passionate about sports and maintaining an active lifestyle, which reflects his energetic and disciplined character. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication to every vessel he joins.
