Clive was born and raised near the coast of Durban and spent most days at the beach or outdoors. Progressing through school and varsity and completing BSc. Honors in Mechanical Engineering, but decided the office world was not for him. The adventures began in Colorado and then on to Canada. After spending two years at ski resorts and bike parks in various hospitality and technical roles it was time to knuckle down into a career. Marine engineering on yachts had great appeal as a blend of mechanical knowledge application and hands-on challenges and so began his engineering endeavors in 2017. Having completed his Small Vessel Engineering Officer Of the Watch last year, Clive continues pursuing his chief certificates and further growth in this position as a Second Engineer.

After graduating, Paul spent several weeks traveling in the Philippines, which sparked his desire to explore more of the world. Upon returning home, he realized that working on yachts was his true passion and he made the decision to leave the office behind.
