Andres has been in and around the water since the year 2000. After completing his Fishing Captain 200 qualification, he started his first Captain’s role on board a fishing boat. A fishing master, Andres was also in charge of the boats operation and managing documentation in compliance with current laws. 15 years later, he joined the yacht industry and continued his journey on M/Y DEA and M/Y MAESTRALE – a 26m private and charter yacht, built by Cantieri di Pisa and his position was a Deckhand. Having gained ample experience and knowledge at sea over the years, it was in 2019 on M/Y MAESTRALE that Andres stepped up to the captain’s position. Great at engineering too, he is a very professional, hardworking individual and the safety of the guests and crew on board is his number one priority. Andres joined M/Y SMILE at the beginning of 2024 and looks forward to providing an outstanding charter experience for the guests

Although having trained as a Chef, Nicola has always stayed close to the sea and worked briefly as a as a dive instructor, so it was only natural for him to combine the two skills. In 2006 he started his career in yachting by joining M/Y ANNA III and M/Y SHADOW. Since 2006, he has never left the industry and has developed an acute sense for what makes charterers happy on holiday. Every morning, he can be found at the local market finding the freshest products for the day’s delicacies. Nicola does not have a set menu; he cooks what he thinks is amazing on the day. Suggesting a wide range of Mediterranean dishes, with a strong Italian influence, fish is probably his favourite to cook, but he is happy to offer and adapt to a range of diets.
