Konstantinos recently joined Sole di Mare but has been working in the yachting industry for four seasons already on large luxury yachts. He is very knowledgeable of maintenance works and other tasks to keep the boat on her highest standards. He holds a speed boat and a Skipper’s license and is eager to make each trip a memorable one for our guests.

Konstantinos Katsioulis
Deckhand
Captain Ilias holds Captain Class B’ Diploma from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos, and all necessary safety certificates including Fire Fighting, Survival Techniques, Personal Safety and Medical. Before commencing a career in the maritime industry, he followed his love for cooking and thus, graduated with a diploma in Culinary Arts and Chef d’oeuvre. He has been working on motor yachts since 2001, counting 22 years of experience on board this year. He is a hardworking professional with excellent skills that make our guests feel comfortable onboard throughout their charter. He is equipped with patience and deep knowledge of every aspect of yachting, and we are happy to have such a skilled Captain at the helm of our yacht.

Ilias Thanopoulos
Captain
Dimitris is a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos and holds Class A’ Engineer Diploma as well as an electrician degree from a vocational school. The first time that he served on a vessel was in 1999, six years before graduating as an engineer. He had already served on various container ships, bulk carriers, tankers and ferries for three years before joining the luxury yachting industry in 2002. He now has almost two decades of experience and holds numerous training certificates in safety and security on board and firefighting. Dimitris is an ideal member of our crew that can ensure the yacht’s optimal performance throughout your holidays.

Dimitris Vatikiotis
Engineer
Apostolis holds a Culinary Diploma from Palmie Bistrot in Athens. He began his career working in renowned restaurants and hotels in Greece and after 20 years working within some of the most prestigious and demanding restaurants, decided to join the yachting industry to combine his love of food and travelling. He is a true artist who makes magic happen with his team in the galley, whilst retaining an incredibly positive demeanor. Apostolis brings a wealth of knowledge and will be sure to offer a truly unique and memorable experience.

Christina is an energetic young lady, very communicative, drama free and a person who is always handling situations with the suitable attitude. She is ambitious, quick learner and always eager to take on a new challenge. Positivity and empathy are two of her greatest traits and she enjoys thriving in team working environments. She is currently a university student, specializing in music psychology. She loves singing, playing the guitar, giving live performances and teaching vocals.

Georgios is a motivated and enthusiastic deckhand. Holding a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering from the School of Engineering in Kavala, he brings a strong technical foundation and a natural mechanical aptitude to any vessel he works on. Georgios is physically fit, comfortable in the water, and at ease with sea activities, water toys, and small boat handling — always with a keen focus on safety. His background spans mechanical work, sales, and hospitality, reflecting his versatility and strong people skills. A fast learner with a positive, team-oriented attitude, Georgios is ready to bring dedication, reliability, and a great work ethic to his first season in the yachting industry.

Vasiliki has been with Sole di Mare crew since early summer of 2023. Before beginning her yachting career, Vasiliki worked in retail for more than 10 years, in two big shopping malls in the Athens area. She loves her new job, enjoys showing the Greek hospitality to her guests and is a hardworking member of the Sole di Mare team.
