Jake hails from Yorkshire, UK, where he completed a degree in marine biology before pursuing his passion for motorbike racing. He worked as a mechanic and truck driver for championship‑winning teams in both the British and World Superbike Championships, collaborating with world-renowned figures such as Lewis Hamilton and Valentino Rossi. In 2017, Jake discovered a love for sailing and achieved his commercial Yachtmaster Offshore certificate. While working as a First Mate on sailing yachts, he found his extensive mechanical background naturally steering him toward marine engineering - a path that ultimately led him to the yachting industry and now to Sophia.

A dedicated athlete, he played competitive basketball for 12 years at both university and national levels. Zak holds an undergraduate degree in sport and exercise science and a master’s in nutritional sciences and enjoys the opportunity to apply these skills with guests on board. After beginning his yachting career as a Deckhand on Sophia, he has since progressed to the role of Chase Boat Skipper. Zak loves running, hiking, and staying active; recently completing his first marathon. He also enjoys creating cocktails, drawing on his bartending experience gained during university.

He is currently working towards his Chief Mates 3000, with plans to progress to Master 3000. Charlie is highly motivated, career-driven, and dedicated to developing his skills and knowledge within the industry. Outside yachting, he enjoys exploring new destinations, having visited over 55 countries. Charlie is known for being positive and personable, bringing his proactive attitude to every task on board. Beyond her interior duties, Carla loves exploring and hiking, enjoys off‑road adventures and is especially fond of her 1984 Suzuki Jimny.
