Having grown up in Ladysmith, a small town surrounded by beautiful nature sceneries like the Drakensberg, Leandri has developed a love for travelling and spending time outdoors. She absolutely loves animals and nature and completed a diploma as a Veterinary Surgery Assistant as well as a First Year Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Zoology. Although she didn’t complete her studies, it felt like the right decision at the time to pursue a career in yachting, where she could combine her passion for the ocean and sense of adventure with her strong work ethic. Nearly five years later, she continues to enjoy both the lifestyle and the work.
As Head of Interior Housekeeping, she is responsible for maintaining exceptional standards throughout the interior and ensuring all guests experience a comfortable and enjoyable stay on board STARBURST IV.

Lewis grew up in Essex in a town called Colchester (oldest recorded town in Britain) but spent a lot of time in-between Essex and London. He started off his career as a car mechanic and soon found out servicing cars in the freezing cold winters was not for him and so he decided to apply for a cadetship with BP Shipping to sick start a life at sea and start a journey towards gaining his Engineering Officer of the Watch ticket.

Elliot grew up in Kent, a county often referred to as “ The Garden of England”. Surrounded by gentle rolling hills, fruit farms, and vineyards, it was no surprise that in need of stimulation the young Elliot substituted peace and tranquillity for the noise and heat of a fast-paced kitchen. Having spent two years cooking at “ The Hand and Flowers”, a two Michelin starred establishment in Marlow, and several stage positions in a variety of first-class land-based restaurants, Elliot made the jump to the yachting industry a year ago.
High standards and attention to detail are the cornerstone of Elliot’ s professional training and he brings this to the galley of STARBURST IV, along with his inherent sense of teamwork. By combining his passions for cooking and exploring, Elliot, a self-proclaimed nerd and history buff, has found his calling on the ocean.
