Jake comes from the beautiful coastal town of Chichester, South of England. He has a love of all things within the motor sport and water sports industries and grew up with his hands on the tools for maintaining his jet skis and motorbikes. Jake left Chichester at the young age of 17 and started his yachting career with Captain Paul.
After working for one year on a 42m yacht he discovered that engineering was his way forward in this industry.
He went on to complete his commercial training on cruise ships and he studied marine engineering through the Warsash Maritime Academy.
Jake then returned to the super yacht industry with his Engineering Officer of the Watch in 2013, working on a range of vessels from 60–158m and through this he has gained extensive experience in many aspects of engineering.

Alex was born in Croydon but spent most of his childhood in Newhaven England. From a young age, he's always dreamt of working at sea, and therefore decided to become a trawlerman at first. Shortly after, he was presented the opportunity to join the Royal Navy as a weapon operator.
He spent two years serving on HMS Prince of Wales, completing the build and playing a crucial part in getting the weapons department operationally ready. Alex felt ready for a new challenge and made the exciting move to join the yachting industry. He has since been a deckhand for the past two and a half years, completing his Yachtmaster offshore and travelling across the globe.
Outside of work, he enjoys scuba or free diving and playing golf. His fiancé is currently working for a coral reef restoration charity in the Virgin Islands.
When Alex gets the chance, he loves spending time with her, preserving the ocean.

Hannah grew up in a small coastal town in Kinmel Bay, North Wales UK. As a small child Hannah spent several summers on her uncles’s boat where she gained a love of the sea. She is a very keen traveller and decided to join the yachting industry in 2021 to use the valuable skills she learned in the hospitality industry and continue to see more of the world. Hannah has since cruised the Mediterranean ocean on yachts ranging from 55m to 90m. Hannah brings a warm-hearted approach and is compassionate with an excellent sense of humour.
Her main duties are in housekeeping but loves to make sure that our guests are comfortable and that they have an exceptional time on board STARBURST IV.

Alex, originating from Hermanus, a picturesque coastal town in South Africa where his family makes wine on their farm in the Hemel- en- Aarde valley. His strong affinity for the ocean guided him towards a career in maritime excellence. After attaining his dive master certification and studying nautical science and maritime law, he transitioned to the super yacht industry from the merchant navy, where he served on large cargo vessels, including those of the esteemed Maersk line.
Over the past five years, Alex has consistently refined his skills, serving on prestigious private and charter yachts, dedicated to offering guests the epitome of luxury experiences. Notably, he recently earned his OOW Unlimited certification and ascended to the role of Second Officer, where his responsibilities encompass bridge duties and providing crucial support to the deck team.

Raised along the coast in Durban, South Africa, Tristan has always felt a strong connection to the ocean. He spent his childhood aboard his family’s catamaran, Da Boss, joining charters and going on deep-sea fishing trips—experiences that sparked his deep love for the sea and life on the water. In addition to his maritime roots, Tristan has a passion for the performing arts, including singing, acting, and dancing. When he's not entertaining, he enjoys staying active, frequently hitting the gym and embracing new adventures. A fan of team sports, he recently developed a keen interest in Padel.
As part of the deck crew, Tristan is responsible for maintaining the exterior of the vessel. He also brings his carpentry skills to the team, taking care of woodwork and repairs on board STARBURST IV.

Joe Lees is a young Michelin star trained Chef who grew up in a small country village outside of the coastal town of Whitby, North Yorkshire. Joe started his career early in his life, training under Michelin star chef Andrew Pern. After working for nine years in a restaurant environment, Joe was ready for a new adventure traveling the world, making new friends and expanding his culinary knowledge along the way in the yachting industry. Joe enjoys keeping fit and is a keen swimmer, he has an interest in cold water exposure and participating in water sports with his friends.
When Joe is not working, you will find him at live music events, dining out in nice restaurants, playing guitar and singing with his band or walking around the countryside.

Having grown up in Ladysmith, a small town in KZN which is surrounded by beautiful nature sceneries like the Drakensberg, Leandri has developed a love for travelling and spending time in the outdoors. She absolutely loves animals and nature and completed a diploma as a Veterinary Surgery Assistant as well as completed her First Year Bachelor of Science in Genetic and Zoology. Although she did not complete her studies it just felt right at that time to try yachting where she could combine her love of the ocean and sense of adventure with her great work ethic. After almost five years of yachting, she is still enjoying the lifestyle and the job itself.
Working within the interior team, her main responsibilities are to maintain a high standard of care throughout the interior and to provide a comfortable stay for all guests on board.

Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Cody may have grown up far from the ocean, but now he cannot imagine being anywhere else.
He entered the yachting industry in 2023, drawn by his passion for adventure and exploration. Before joining STARBURST IV, Cody worked on an explorer vessel, navigating the waters of Alaska, Costa Rica, Jamaica, and other stunning destinations. He currently holds his Yachtmaster GT200 and has his sights set on starting his OOW modules in the near future.
When he's not embracing new cultures, Cody is capturing the journey through his lens. Whether with a camera or drone in hand, he's always on the lookout for his next favourite shot.

Megan grew up in Auckland, with a family that has a love for all things outdoors. Her adventurous nature came from core childhood moments spent camping, boating and hiking through some of the most scenic parts of New Zealand. She has always had a passion for the ocean which has led her to where she is today working in the yachting industry. Her first role was a Sole Stewardess, Guest Cook and Deckhand on a 23m M/Y. This yacht was based in Auckland where they did many guest trips and fishing excursions cruising the Tasman Sea. It was a great introductory position working across different departments and walking away with such a well-rounded foundation of experience.
In her spare time, she enjoys beach days, running, coffee dates, workouts, vintage shopping, cooking, playing social football and socialising with friends.

Naomi hails from Dublin, Ireland, where she is the youngest of seven siblings. Growing up in a lively and sporty family environment, she developed a keen interest in staying active, which she continues to nurture through activities such as running, Pilates, and taking leisurely walks with her 14.5-year-old Jack Russell terrier. Since 2017, Naomi has been immersed in the hospitality industry, where she has held various roles ranging from bartending and food service to managing a café. Passionate about interacting with people from all walks of life, Naomi thrives in roles that involve both managing staff and engaging with guests. While this marks her debut in the yachting industry, she is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to expand her skills and advance her career in this new environment.
