Born in South Africa, Robert joined the South African Navy right after finishing school, serving nearly six years on frigates, mine seekers, and strike crafts. After his naval service, he explored Europe and transitione into the yachting industry. His love for the water was nurtured from a young age, growing up in a family passionate about boats, especially high-end ski boats built by his father and uncle. With experience on both motor and sailing yachts, Robert combines his military discipline and boating expertise to provide exceptional service aboard yachts. He has worked on a variety of classic vessels, gaining a wealth of knowledge in deck duties, refits, and general management.
His calm demeanor and problem-solving skills, honed from his time in rescue teams, make him a valuable and reliable crew member. Robert’s gentle nature, attentiveness to detail, and gratitude for the simple things in life make him an easy-going yet highly efficient crew member. He is deeply connected to nature, always appreciating the small, unexpected moments that the ocean and environment provide. He is also a passionate skater and cycler, enthusiast of Blues music and a fan of thriller novels.

Eddy started travelling at a young age with his parents and his love for sailing began when he started taking up the sport through his school. He had his first racing experience, aged ten, on an Optimist sailboat, and continued racing on many kinds of boats - such as a 470 Tornado and single-handed offshore boats.
After some years as a sailing instructor, he came ashore and took a job leading a team in the medical assistance field.
Despite having a successful life in Barcelona, the call of the sea drew him back to his first love – sailing!
He has worked on a variety of high-profile boats from prestigious yachts such as S/Y AMAALTA, 86’ maxi racing boat in the 1990s, through S/Y CAP II, CNB 76’ for more than 4 years, to MAITA’Ï, a 74’ catamaran.
During this busy time, he skippered MINISKIRT, a 105’ Ron Holland for over 6 months in the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
He has also carried out many deliveries, logging 15 Atlantic crossings to gain experience.
He knows the Eastern and Western Mediterranean, Croatia and the Balearics well, and has also cruised the entire Caribbean, encompassing a career of 25 years of yachting and amost 20 years in the charter industry. He developed excellent skills, with a keen eye for detail to ensure every cruise is unique and custom-made for each guest. Guests’ comments praise his charter skills to a very high level.
Onboard S/Y LEO, CNB 76 from 2014 to 2017, Eddy holds a Yacht Masters 200 tons unlimited license, and is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
Eddy likes his busy life and embraces hard work with vitality and enthusiasm. Still, the best thing about Captain Eddy Guzman is his winning smile and “can do” personality, coupled with his hands-on capability with sailing and mechanics to ensure an excellent time on board S/Y THALIMA.

Sophie started her career in logistics and shipping, where she developed a deep appreciation for the maritime world. Her strong organizational skills and eye for detail naturally led her to transition from land-based roles to life at sea. After joining her first yacht as a stewardess, Sophie embraced the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of yacht operations. Over the years, her role evolved to include service, hospitality, and logistics management.
This diverse background has made Sophie a versatile and invaluable crew member. Sophie is known for her adaptability, excellent communication skills, and ability to create a welcoming environment onboard. Her fluency in multiple languages and global experience allow her to connect effortlessly with guests and crew from diverse backgrounds.
When she’s not working, Sophie enjoys exploring coastal destinations, practicing yoga, and expanding her culinary skills. She is also passionate about sustainability and actively supports environmentally conscious practices in yachting.
Sophie is an enthusiastic and reliable addition to any crew, consistently going above and beyond to ensure the smooth operation of the yacht and the satisfaction of the guests onboard.

Born in La Ciotat, a small coastal town near Marseille, Maxime grew up surrounded by a maritime environment. His desire to blend his love for cooking and sailing was sparked at an early age. He began his culinary journey on the French Riviera, where he completed an apprenticeship before moving to London to work in a series of gastro-pubs. His international experience expanded further when he relocated to New Zealand, taking a chef position at a French bistro in Auckland. His love for the sea led him to join his first yacht in Auckland, where he sailed the South Pacific for over a year. Maxime has since returned to the Mediterranean, building a decade-long career aboard both motor and sailing yachts. His cuisine is heavily influenced by classic French techniques, fused with the diverse gastronomies of the countries he has visited.
His hobbies include traveling, exploring human cultures, and diving into historical studies. He is also an avid free diver, combining his love for the ocean with a passion for adventure and discovery.
Nadèche is a Biomedical Engineer, Nurse, and passionate sailor who has successfully transitioned from a career in healthcare to the world of yachting. With two years of experience in the industry, she is confident in her abilities as a Medical Officer and skilled as a Deck/Mate. Nadèche is committed to progressing her maritime career and is focused on advancing her expertise.
Growing up in a family of construction workers, Nadèche has gained practical experience in plumbing, electricity, and general building skills. This hands-on background enhances her ability to perform technical and maintenance tasks on board with ease and efficiency. As a dedicated team player, Nadèche believes in fostering a positive and supportive onboard environment. She values the importance of uplifting her colleagues, creating a collaborative atmosphere, and is always willing to assist wherever needed.
She also believes that humor is essential in maintaining morale and camaraderie, ensuring a balanced and enjoyable work environment on board.
Nadèche is passionate about a wide range of activities, including sailing, surfing, foiling, snowboarding, yoga, pilates, hiking, camping, swimming, photography and cooking.
