Shilo, a native of New Zealand’s South Island, has always been drawn to water. From her early days around lakes and rivers to becoming a white-water kayaker as a teenager, she has had a deep connection to aquatic environments. For eight years, she traveled between New Zealand and the United States, working as a white-water raft guide. Eventually, she discovered the thrill of vessels with engines and sails, seamlessly transitioning into skippering various New Zealand-based vessels since 2018. For the past two years, she has been traversing the globe on super yachts. Shilo’s love for the water extends to both being in it and on it. In her spare time, she explores reefs.
