Manuel is a professional Yacht Captain with over 20 years of maritime experience gained in both the yachting and commercial sectors. Throughout his career, he has commanded a variety of motor and sailing yachts, including prestigious brands such as Mangusta, Pershing, Riva, Cranchi, Pirelli, and Baia.
He has cruised extensively throughout the Mediterranean, with in-depth knowledge of Italy, Sardinia, Corsica, the Amalfi Coast, Greece, Turkey, and the Balearic Islands. His expertise includes navigation, passage planning, yacht maneuvering with bow thrusters, night navigation, charter operations, crew management, and vessel maintenance. He also possesses strong technical skills in engine room operations and an excellent knowledge of AIS, RADAR, ARPA, and GMDSS systems.
In addition to his command experience, Manuel has supervised new yacht construction projects, most recently serving as Surveyor for a Mangusta 104 during the 2025 season. He combines a strong technical background with over five years of hands-on experience as Skipper and Deck-Engineer aboard a 54ft sailing yacht, where he developed practical skills in navigation, deck operations, engine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Graduated from Politecnico di Torino, he has advanced knowledge of mechanical and propulsion systems, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, internal combustion engines, hybrid and electrical power units. Motivated, adaptable, and solution-oriented, Lorenzo is committed to building a successful career within the superyacht industry.
He holds STCW Basic Safety Training, AEC 1 & 2, the Italian Yachtmaster License (Sail & Power up to 79ft), and is a registered MCA TRB candidate for SV EOOW certification. Lorenzo is a native Italian speaker and has an advanced level of English, enabling him to work effectively in international yachting environments.
