Jon grew up in a small coastal town off the east coast of South Africa. From a young age, Jon spent every spare second down at the beach, fishing, spear fishing, diving, and bodyboarding. After school, he turned his passion for the ocean into a career, working at a local scuba diving center and rising to dive master, shark guide, and surf launch skipper. With 12 years in the yachting industry, Jon is working his way up to captaining a vessel one day.

Albert, originally from land-locked Ukraine, pursued a passion for water through canoe/kayak sprint racing in Eastern Europe. Although he aspired to join the Marines, he began his career on fishing vessels and studied at the Nakhimov Naval Marine Academy. With over 27 years of engineering experience, he worked on cargo ships and the Discovery Channel's research vessel, "The Odyssey Explorer," and transitioned to superyachts 13 years ago after earning his Chief Engineer Unlimited/Y certificate. In his free time, Albert enjoys tennis, mechanical problem-solving, and computer software analytics, and he looks forward to welcoming guests aboard.
