Having her roots deeply planted on their family Karoo farm in the Northern Cape of South Africa, Grethe’s independent nature led her to always want something more. She grew up going to her family’s beach house and loved being by the ocean. After working in an office as a Graphic Designer for
8 years, she started getting the travel bug. It was time for change. She decided office life needed to take the back seat and started her journey in yachting. She is a devoted artist and finds creativity on the ocean while she is away from home. Grethe would love to one day be able to have a little garden behind her house, where she can grow food for the neighbors and constantly have her nails dirty. Taking care of her plant babies and be connected to the mother nature. Wabash is happy to bring onboard her warm, hearty and down to earth personality straight from the deserts of South Africa, to the ocean.

Shani was born in New Zealand and spent most of her childhood in sunny Sydney, Australia. She has always been happiest outdoors—running, competing in sports, and exploring with her family. After school, she studied Outdoor Education and Tourism & Travel, which set the tone for a life filled with movement and discovery.
Her love of adventure took her across the globe, backpacking, living, and working in a wide range of countries while building experience in both hospitality and childcare. Four years ago, she joined the yachting industry to pair her two favorite things: traveling and creating incredible guest experiences. She aims to build a lifestyle that reflects what she values most—exploring new cultures, trying new things, meeting interesting people, and waking up somewhere different whenever she can. She has already visited over 70 countries and doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
Outside of work, Shani loves animals, art, music, cooking, and—most importantly—anything to do with dessert. She brings a positive spirit, a sense of adventure, and a genuine love for people wherever she goes.

Marton left Hungary for Ireland in his early 20s. He started as a bartender and worked his way up to Bar Manager. After 8 years on the Emerald Isle, he realized he needed more sunshine in his life. Marton then decided to move to the Sunny Island of Malta for a year, where he encountered many boats. While he was pondering where life might take him next, an opportunity presented itself. His very first position was on a sailboat in the beautiful British Virgin Islands. He sailed around the Caribbean for a few seasons before moving to the United States and joining the yachting industry. Motor yachts were a completely different feel from sailing, but he liked it so much that he decided to stay. That was 7 years ago, and he’s been loving the journey since. In his free time, he enjoys meditating, reading and working on his farm back in Hungary. The next goal is to acquire a few goats and make some cheese!
