Ashleigh is a native of the Eastern Cape of South Africa. His love for the ocean started in Port Alfred, where he grew up game fishing and wind surfing. Embarking on his yachting journey in 2008 in Antibes, aboard M/Y Zoom Zoom Zoom marked the beginning of his remarkable career. Over the years, Ashleigh has navigated the seas on notable vessels, including M/Y Laurel, Sea Owl, and Anastasia.

Originally from Bloemfontein, South Africa, Stefhan started his yachting career in 2004. Over time he has worked his way up through the ranks from deckhand to captain. Stefhan worked on board M/Y Laurel and M/Y Siren before obtaining his Master 3000GT license, since then he has taken command of M/Y Audacia and M/Y Rock It before taking command of M/Y Wheels in 2018.
Having extensively cruised the Mediterranean Sea, the Caribbean Sea, the Bahamas, Eastern Canada and the Great Lakes, Captain Stefhan has great knowledge of favoured cruising itineraries as well as "off the beaten track ones". He will make sure your trip is a memorable adventure.

Rudi grew up in Pretoria, South Africa. He has been working at sea ever since and now lives in Mallorca with his family. Starting his career off on Cyan, Rudi progressed through the roles of deckhand, bosun and finally chief officer. He also worked on yachts like Attitude, Lady A and Z and has extensively cruised in the Eastern and Western Mediterranean, as well as the Bahamas, Caribbean and the Pacific.

Growing up in South Africa, Michael has always been active, representing his province in water polo and swimming. His interest in sport, conditioning and rehabilitation led him to obtain Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Biokinetics. It was Mike’s love for travel, coupled with an energetic lifestyle, that propelled him into yachting in 2016. He has since progressed to Navigational Officer in 2022 after working on vessels such M/Y GO, SOLO, Lioness V.
Mike applies his enthusiastic nature to provide guests with a fun, relaxing and action-packed vacation.

Armand originates from Bloemfontein, South Africa. Alongside studying Economics and Business Management, he discovered a passion for water sports and outdoor activities, this ultimately drove his decision to join the yachting industry. Since the beginning of his career onboard M/Y Fortunate Sun in 2020, Armand has progressed from junior deckhand to achieving his OOW certification as Second Officer in April 2023.
Thriving in high – pressured atmospheres, water sports activities one – on – one interaction with guests, Armand always aims to have the best time and create the most memorable experiences for all who come on board.

Tiaan grew up in Stellenbosch, South Africa, best known for their wine makers and magnificent vistas. Tiaan has always been passionate about sailing and thus joined the yachting industry as soon as he finished school 6 years ago. He began working on sailing yachts and then transitioned to motor yachts, where he has worked on yachts such as Lioness V and Casino Royale.
In his free time, Tiaan enjoys spending time in the outdoors, including anything from hiking, mountain biking, surfing, sailing – not to mention finishing off a long week with a round of golf.

Jamal was born on the Sulawesi Island, one of Indonesia’s beautiful islands. He studied at Nautical School in Indonesia and soon after began on board cruise ships. He soon realized that his true passion is working onboard yachts. He chased after his dream and joined the yachting industry in 2009. Along with a keen eye for detail, Jamal has a great deal of experience and knowledge regarding safety onboard, which makes him a valuable member of the Wheels deck team.
He is witty and will bring smile on every guest’s face.

Cameron grew up in Ballito, a coastal town on the east coast of South Africa, where he spent his free time in the ocean – surfing, scuba diving, fishing and spearfishing. He surfed competitively and won awards at national level. Cameron is also a qualified dive master, having completed his training in Sodwana Bay, South Africa and Tofo, Mozambique.

Here he learnt valuable skills in working with guests and tailoring experiences to their needs. Tehan grew up in George, a town in South Africa on a coastal stretch known as the Garden Route. He has previously worked on MY Casino Royale and MY Okto and has travelled to the Maldives, Mediterranean, Bahamas and along the US East Coast. He has a natural love for the ocean and spends most of his time on the water. Tehan has great personal skills when interacting with guests and has a good sense of humor. He is embracing each day and learning as much as he can to build a firm foundation and climb the career ladder.

Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Hayden has spent his life chasing speed, wind, and waves. His journey began on two wheels, racing motorbikes at national level and securing seven championship titles. But the call of the ocean lead him to the world of kiteboarding. Hayden competed internationally for top brands and later became the head commentator for the Big Air Kite League. Beyond the competition scene, his love for the sport saw him managing a premium kiteboarding guesthouse, creating an environment where all could thrive. Hayden joined yachting in 2023 where he worked in the watersports department on M/Y Flying Fox. His confidence and friendly nature will make you feel at ease as you take on our many watersports options onboard Wheels!
