Turkey FAQs
What is included in the charter fee and what are the other expenses I can expect to pay?
All charters in Europe and the Mediteranean are the base charter rate that you see online plus expenses.
What are expenses? While the base price covers the yacht and crew, additional costs such as fuel, food, drinks, mooring fees, port taxes, and communications are billed separately in the form of APA. The APA is a pre-paid amount, typically 20-40% of the charter fee depending on the boat and its used to cover variable expenses such as fuel, food, drinks, and port fees. At the end of the charter, any unused APA is refunded, and any excess expenses are charged to the charterer. Additionally, VAT tax is added to the charter fee and the VAT in Turkey is 20%.
Additionally crew gratuity is customarily 10-15% of the base charter fee (APA/VAT excluded).
